Although Woo Hoo has made it a policy not to have a GUnit from a loss, I'm starting this thread anyway so we can give our hard fighting team some love.

Hands down, Pargo is our GUnit..

I'm giving honorable mention to the victorious point guard, Derrick Rose. He was truly the engine that ultimately won Memphis the game.

Gritty performance by our guys. Not all pieces are in full swing yet, but when(if) they get there, we got Final 4 potential.

How many Gunits has Jeremy won? How many would he have won if you gave them in a loss as well?

Jeremy played great. Seems that the rest of the team doesn't play great when Jeremy does and vice versa.

Pargo. His stat line was incredible.

25 pts.
9/16 FG
7 rebounds
7 assists
2 turnovers
6/7 FT

And that was against one of the best, if not the best defensive team around.

Ladies and gentlemen, the hardest working man in GU showbiz, Mr. Jeremy Pargo.

(Today at least ;) )

Pargo indeed. When the rest of the team has trouble showing up (lets say collectively) then Pargo just takes the team on his back. Has done so more than once.

Pargo, really the only player at the same level as the Memephis players today.

Perhaps one of the shorter players out there today, but definitely played a head above anybody else.

Pargo. He deserves it for the effort. Nice game and played under control.

The first half GUnit was Pendo but, to their credit, Memphis took him out in the second half. He was killing Memphis' game plan in the first half; breaking the full court press, taking shots from the outside when big guys were on him and not fast enough, taking inside when the opportunity was there, fighting for rebounds and just generally wreaking havoc with the Memphis game plan. They figured him out in the second half, though.

Great Game for Pargo.. Got his points , set up his teammates, ran the offense well..

If we could just get everyone to fire on all cylinders we can go deep into the tournament.

Pargo was my G-Unit for both halves, but Micah was 3-3 on 3 pointers in the first half to help keep us in it so my honorable mention goes to him. No one else was big or athletic enough to hang with Memphis. If Bouldin had played the same the whole game the way he played the last few minutes, the final score would've been a whole different story. :o

Uber was going to say something about Pargo but probably better in another thread.

Uber votes for Rose--the PG who led his team to victory.

I had a feeling that things were running better when Kuso was on the court but WOW

Pargo's -7 shows why the +/- has to be used in the context of other stats because it doesn't really reflect what he did on the court, but you knew his +/- would take a hit just because he was on the court for the whole game (literally, all 40 minutes. which makes what he did even more impressive. if he got tired he sure didnt show it!)

Praise for Kuso comes a bit hard to me at times but I thought there was extra effort there on his part and a solid contribution for a back up post.

If Pargos +/- was -7, how could it NOT be -8 since we lost by 8 and he was on the court for "literally" all 40 minutes? He must have played less than 40 minutes.

Gurganious subbed in for him briefly during a fouling situation on defense, Pargo subbed back in after the first free throw was made.
