First off, I am a very stoked that this happened for a couple of reasons. It gets the SEC out of the championship picture which IMO is good (I am not an SEC fan, or ACC fan). Perhaps even better, it throws the BCS into disarray. It helps expose the BCS as a poor a method as exists for determining national champs.
Furthermore, how big of a crock is it that Florida with three losses is ranked ahead of unbeaten Hawai'i? What a freaking cabal. The BCS schools cannot be happier that BSU and Hawai'i have to play each other and eliminate the chance that there might be two 'little' teams to make it to the BCS. They must think that the BSU/OU game was nice last year, but hey, let's not go crazy and start letting just anybody in to these games.
