The Olympian wants it readers to vote on the Turkey of the year. What I found truely interesting is that Josh is the only non-professional on the list. Who would you vote for?

A write-in vote comes to mind. . .

I did not award rep, negative or positive. If you're referring to TCZag's 2 red thingy's, he earned those without my help.

The biggest chicken in the state of Washington should have the opportunity to morph into the biggest turkey. Not getting your team to the NIT with a two McDonald's All-Americans and an NBA lottery pick ought to get you into the national turkey of the year competition.

Nothing wrong with calling that list to our attention, TCZag. If you got neg rep for that, it's dumb and should be offset with positive rep.

FWIW, I voted for someone else, primarily to reduce the ratio for Josh. There were only 17 votes, so the sampling is ridiculously low.

What a stupid poll -- although I have to admit the first person that came to my mind is the one A.R. above is referring to. . . . Plus, a guy who does more than his punishment in the form of extra community service is no "turkey."

I don't think it's fair to hammer him for that link...Just my thoughts.

A bit reactionary on my part. My apologies.

Personally, I don't appreciate the barb at Josh Heytvelt by the author of the article in light of JH's sincere efforts at reconciliation with the fans and the Gonzaga community and most importantly his team.

I assumed that TCZag's intention was to open this wound once again and made an ass out of myself. It wouldn't be the first time.

Hey former1dog, no worries, wasn't trying to get you going.

What still gets me about the article and the poll was everyone else is a professional except Josh. I think there is a difference.

:agreed:

I apparently joined the sheep and picked Clay Bennett.

My vote goes to Mike Colbrese of the WIAA, that guy needs to go...soon.

So am I to understand that Josh made this silly list and Lomar did not???

Sounds like there is a "journalist" over on the west side who is still bruised by GU's dominance of Washington State Basketball.

Sour grapes...

I'm guessing that nomination might be sarcastic or at the very least fasicious. That stuff that JH got in trouble for is the "national" pastime over there and grows like a weed on the lawns.:lmao:

i thought about not posting to keep this at the bottom but couldnt help it! ZZZ ZZ z..z..z.z the Josh talk is so played out and if thats all a guy can write about or bring up he has little knowledge of all the good hoops there is to discuss!

Honestly,

As pissed off as I was at Josh when the whole thing came down...

Please, the kid has done the work to get back on the team, Few agrees (and from what I've read, he was most pissed of all).

Let's get past this and support Josh in to the team and our hearts...

The more Josh and Theo are loved by us, the better chance they have at turning around...

Let's all do a Robert Spitzer, SJ and love past it...

This subject has been beaten to death. Enough with the pontificating.
