Saw this score from yesterday, and I'm sorry if it's already been posted. Tennessee runs score up on D2 Arkansas Monticello. Makes me a little PO'd to see schools doing this stuff. 30 pts? Sure. 40 pts? Ok, back off a little. 57 pts? Come on - that's not even fun.

Just wondering what kind of statement Tennessee is trying to make by running the score up like that on a D2 team. Final score 101-44.

Here's to our ZAGS b-slapping Tennessee by a margin of 57 or greater.

(Must be the Dead Guy Ale talking - a win would be just fine)

eh, i've got no problem with this. if you're a d2 team playing someone with the expectations and hype of tennessee, you can expect to catch a vicious beating... you signed up for it.

its early, tennessee probably wanted to work on some stuff in live game action, it was a d2 opponent. basically an exhibition. why bring out walk ons or the 13th scholarship kid and waste an opportunity to refine some stuff and get your top rotation players more comfortable with each other/the system?

ark monticello signed up for this.

how about a 101 point win? http://guboards.spokesmanreview.com/showthread.php?p=107109#post107109

To me, it is all in how the score gets run up there.

If Tennessee had their starters in until the bitter end, that is a bit troubling. However, if Pearl pulled his starters part way through the second half and his 2nd and 3rd stringers ran up the score, that is a different issue. You can't exactly have your team take shot clock violations just because you are winning.

Having said that, I hope the Zags give them a taste of their own medicine and run the score up on them this December. Go Zags!
