That was sick!! Top two plays in a night where there were some pretty impressive plays going on. I know someone is going to get that on youtube right!!

A stellar week for America's Team!

The "Gonzaga Syndrome" was mentioned on ESPN's "The Sports Reporters" on Sunday, in reference to wins by Gardner-Webb and Appalachian State, i.e. a smaller school unafraid to play anybody, anywhere.

Pargo's dunk was more than just his dunk though. It all started with Pendo getting floor burns and the pass from his back to Pargo.

anyone who has the ability, it would be pretty sweet to get all our top 10 plays of the season, and make a mix tape of that for youtube

Staying up late just to catch the 11pm SC for these ones, and I got an exam tomorrow.

The #1 and #2 plays? Wow.

Heck, we could make a mixtape of just Pargo dunks.

To the YouTube!

btw, how was there no foul called on the LG dunk?

were the refs so shocked by what they just saw that they forgot they had whistles....

I was wondering the same thing when I saw the replay. He was fouled hard. The fact he still made it shows just how athletic he is.

The refs were probably exhausted from using that damn whistle on every touch foul and had to catch their breath at that moment.

I found it interesting that they did not highlight the game at all even though it contained the top 2 plays of the day. It was nontheless an exciting moment to see our Zags get that recognition! Did Pargo's dunk against Montana get top 10? I missed SC that night.

The Montana game probably got no ESPN love since Sunday Sportcenters are usually 98% NFL...

Pargo had Sportscenter's #1 play from the Montana game also.

LG's dunk started a 32-0 run by the Zags. It was LG and not Pendo who was diving after the ball on the floor, flipped a pass to Daye I think who hit a streaking Pargo. And YES!! The ref was soo busy watching the dunk, and so surprised, that he couldn't blow the whistle.

My son told me that getting a first and second place finish on ESPN top ten was like a Sweet 16 finish in terms of our recruiting POWER...WOW!!! I'm sure those young kids to love ESPN top ten each night.

Hey, ya all!!! What did I tell ya about LG and Pargo...#1 and #2 guards in America. AT LEAST FOR ONE NIGHT HEY???????

That is probably a tad optimistic but landing top 10 plays on SC definitely does not hurt the reputation.

rennis says, "That is probably a tad optimistic but landing top 10 plays on SC definitely does not hurt the reputation."

This was in response to my son saying that making the top 2 places on ESPN will help our recruiting....:)

I think being a tad optimistic must run in the family now. I suppose my son has had a lifetime of it around me.:)

But do you know what? I truly value my son's opinions on things, and he's definately more of the ESPN generation than I am so I Kind of take his word for it. My guess is that he is right, rennis. I kind of believe that the younger generations really like that top 10 stuff on ESPN, and that all the kids dream about being on it one day. And I think we all know how they feel about dunks. But I'm glad you responded.

I'm not completely discounting what your son is saying, but a Sweet 16 berth comes with days-on-end of coverage for the team. There are TV specials, highlights on SportsCenter every night, SI write-ups, yadda yadda. And then of course most of the country actually watches your 40 minute game. Compared to 5 seconds of the final 60 seconds of a nightly SportsCenter...I'm pretty sure the Sweet 16 is a little more important. :)

That said, I hope we're on Sports Center's top plays every night we play. But I hope for a Sweet 16 berth a whole lot more. ;)

I couldn't agree more Rennis.
