That has to be the single greatest twitter recruit clip I've ever seen.

Right-handed block, left-handed block, run the court and two-handed dunk in a crowd, in 10 seconds.

UW this upcoming year has 2 bigs surely head for NBA. One and Dones with a good coach. It'll be tough to beat them. But Kaden looks to be a budding superstar. At his age, the athleticism is eye popping. Looks to have a great feel even in his young years. 1-2 years ( I can't quite tell) till he gets here. I bet lots of coaches are scratching this heads. GU and Few got a jewel with a very bright future and they grabbed Kaden early. Great pickup .a very bright kid. By next year, I'm thinking he'll be a 4 or 5 star kid.

Kaden is a great pick up, I hinted that this could be a possibility last week as he is out top local talent that we have been on. He is going to be a stud and probably a 3-4 year guy in all honesty, but has huge upside.

Kaden Perry on his response when GU staff offered scholarship Thursday morning: “They were telling me about how great this place is and that it’s a great family here. They asked if I wanted to be part of it. I didn’t even hesitate. I said, ‘I’d love to be part of it.’ ”

As a Battle Ground HS alum, this is pretty exciting for me! Same school as Richie Frahm... same school district as Dan Dickau and Zach Gourde (Prairie HS). I don’t think we’ve had a SW Washington scholarship kid on the team since Raivio... exciting to see another high level player coming out of Clark County.

This kid is going to grow his game and skillset over the next couple of years. I fully expect that his status is going to grow a bunch by the time he arrives. Love in state kids and look forward to rooting for Kaden in the years to come.

I don't see him on the national top 100-150 lists, but prephoops Washington rankings call him the second best prospect in the state for 2021, behind Marjon Beauchamp and ahead of Shane Nowell, brother of the Huskies' Jalen. For reference, either Rivals or 247, I forget which, has Beauchamp in the 20's nationally and Nowell in the 70's.

Could be the local guys have a better handle on the kid's talent at this point, and he'll rise in the national rankings this summer.

More details on how it went down. Contacted by 10 teams the day his recruitment opened (June 15), and then committed 5 days later.

I think he very well could end up as a Top 100 by his senior year if he works and develops like the things I've read say he does.

Until this summer he has not played on the shoe circuit he will be a top 70 guy by the end of the summer. National guys just don't know him yet, but they will!!

That was the impression I was trying to convey, reading between the lines on the local v national rankings. Shane Nowell is a hell of a player; being ranked above him locally says a lot.

I agree, and I think by his senior year he could be top 50 easy. That size (he's going to keep growing people) coupled with that kind of athleticism, forget about it. The kid is a sophomore, I think he could potentially be McD's All American. A 6'9" sophomore could easily become a 7 footer by the time he gets to Gonzaga. Downright scary (in the best way) if you ask me.

Just think what he could do once the Gonzaga coaches get ahold of him. Huge commitment for our team.

Very cool.

Sounds like a kid that grew up dreaming of being a Zag.

I also do not recall a kid that had both us and the Huskies going at them (for 5 days), and us getting him. We usually wait until they tire of the Huskies and come over.

I am actually glad the Husky program is going the right direction. They have quite the class coming.

So do we.
