This was a difficult one bc it sure wasn't pretty, OTOH, I am not sure I have ever been prouder of how tough our team can be.

I gave it to Rui bc he scored when no one else could. But, one could give it to the team on this one bc they just didn't let the chppiness, the offensive woes (and whoa did we have them), all that get them. In years passed, going to up 4, I would've thought it would be a one point game, but they didn't allow it to happen.

Just so mentally tough.

Voted Clarke. I felt it was a great adjustment by few to get Tille, Rui and Clarke in at the same time. Mad a huge impact on the boards and on D. It kind of confused Florida St, it looked like they were not prepared for that line up at all.

Tempted to pick Few; one of best coaching efforts ever. Perkins picked up his scoring, filled the stat line, and provided the leadership. Got my vote.

Go Zags! One more would fulfill expections, but why stop there? Win it all!

I remember thinking after Josh's "And One" that we'd get to add to it, then it's all messed up.

I swear the refs did everything humanly possible to will this into a close game.

Speaking of Refs, did Michigan get a technical for not wearing white tonight?

Noles won the opening tip. Zags have the possession arrow after that. No tie-ups in the first half. Possession arrow should have indicated Zag ball to open second half.

While it really was a team effort and probably Clarke's blocks and rebounds were a big key...I think the play of the game was the three from Zach Norvell with 3 minutes left after Florida State had cut the lead to 4 points was really BIG!!!!! If that clanks of for a runout 2 or 3 by Florida State this game might have gone the wrong way...it was slipping away until that shot!

The dual foul (Clarke and someone from FSU) served as a jump ball and GU got it. The technical fouls were dead ball, so Perkins shot his "and one" as normal.

I voted other—Few gets my vote. Almost voted other for “team” because there were too many guys to choose from, each of which we don’t win without their efforts. But Few earned it tonight.

I didn’t think coach would go for the three bigs lineup in crunch time, and I wasn’t sure it would work if he did. But when your bigs are athletic super freaks you can still defend well and rebound even better. I’m sure we will see more of this, but only if they aren’t in serious foul trouble.

We all tend to "paint inside the lines." If there had been a "team" option in the poll, it likely would have won. A "Coach Few" option would have been worthy, as well. More options = more clarity.

I voted for Clarke because I thought he not only was great defensively, offensively, and on the boards...but he also was key in breaking any attempt at a press FSU put forth. Long teams with depth can wreak havoc with a press. It's an incredible advantage to have big guys that can handle the ball so well. Completely neutralized the pressure from the Noles.

I also just feel like Clarke's toughness is contagious on this team. Seeing JWIII last night reminded me of how important he was to last year's team from that respect, and Clarke has taken over that role and then some. That put back dunk he had was insane. Just a grown a** man out there.

Honorable mention to Jeremy Jones. Very little in the box score, but he provided some great defensive minutes and per his usual didn't make any mistakes...really helped the bigs avoid foul trouble to put him in for stretches of time. Such a key depth piece for the Zags.

One thing the announcing crew did get correct last night is that Perkins was the key to this game. Florida State tried to take his passing away and also tried to deny him the ball. Despite a few missteps along the way, Perkins managed this game tremendously. Scoring as an antidote to FSU's strategy and passing when he had the opportunity.

Perkins command of this game was best exemplified in the fact that Crandall only played 8 minutes. Crandall is IMO a great player, but he was not ready for the defensive pressure FSU was bringing at the point of attack. Perkins of course dealt with it the entire game!
