SPOKANE, Wash. -- Paccar Inc. of Bellevue has donated $2 million to help build a new science and engineering program addition at Gonzaga University, school officials have announced.

The long-haul truck manufacturer's gift, announced Friday, covers about a quarter of the cost of the $7.9 million Paccar Center for Applied Science, a 25,000-square-foot building to house a new engineering program in electrical transmission and distribution systems.

The program in an addition south of the Herak Center for Engineering is designed for working professionals and will be available online as well as on campus in Spokane, said Dennis Horn, dean of engineering.

South of Herek? Hmm... filling in the parking lot? Interesting, esp since they just finished adding on to Herek.

How many guys behind closed doors in the AD building and Herak were sweating THAT one out over the last 10 days. . .Good for GU and good for the Engineering Program.
