Considered Clarke, huge blocks down the stretch, but just took Rui over him.

Rui!

But this was a team effort for sure. All the starters played great, and Petrusev was huge off the bench.

On the other side, Dukeís free throw defense was really good at the end of the game, but our D was better.

This is one of the most exciting and fun games I have watched. What a great notch on Mark Fewd belt and a solid moment for the program.

I wanted to vote Clarke for Unit as his post defense was physical and strong throughout the game but in the end I think Rui carried the day and gets the honors. Awesome team effort. Petrosev stepped up, Jones was great all tournament, kispert had some key moments, I could go on and on......Go Zags!

It has to be Rui but as the others have said, it was a total team effort.

What a game, what a win!

I'm going with Norvel. Basically played 2 7/8 games straight. Owned the first half and set the zags up for a win. Nobody plays harder than Norvel!!!!

My folks don't have cable, I didn't see the game yesterday or today. Followed score online. Wow, what a huge win. ESPN hype machine is cranked up to 11 for Duke this year, the greatest freshmen ever, unbeatable, etc. etc. Duke just doesn't lose in November and December. Or in Hawaii. Ranked #1. GU without Tillie, who is a huge piece of their puzzle. There have been a number of huge wins in GU history, this certainly just jumped way up the list. Congrats to the Zags!

Maybe we can lose some of our fan fear now. I feel like this win is truly legitimized by the fact that we held the lead for most of the game.

Great win Zags!

Rui had 5 assists and played a crucial role in limiting Barrett and Zion. No question he put it all out there and will probably be talked about as a top 5 pick now.

Rui is the best player.
Zach is the most clutch.
Josh is the most important.

I went Josh.

A host of good candidates but I had to go with the Samurai. Outstanding performances by Norvell, Perkins and Clarke. Petrusev had a couple of huge moments too.

Great win Zags!

Going with Josh. Controlled the game and stayed composed. Limited turnovers and didn't force shots. I'm a hard critic of Josh but he played a great game. That rebound where Zion almost ripped out his arm? I didn't know he had it in him. A great note for what could turn out to be an awesome senior season.

I had to go with a slight edge to Rui, but outside of Crandall (perhaps trying to do too much, I still believe he will find his game), the team as a whole was outstanding.
I also have to give a shout out to the refs. I admit to being a huge critic of the officials, but it didn't really feel like they impacted this game very much. Perhaps a result of Few being a little more vocal with them? (Pure speculation)

Yes, Petrusev was really a key in the win. 11 points on 6-9 shooting (1 three) 4 boards, 1 assist, 1 block in 12 minutes.

We lose without him. Cudos, Petrusev!

I went with Rui. He was a neutralizing force against Duke’s vaunted big men, the best college freshmen in HISTORY!

I voted for Perkins. He just held the team together for forty minutes. Duke didnít have that veteran leadership and it was all the difference in the game.

Coach Few outcoached Coach K. He is getting better even after twenty years at the helm.

After watching Clarke school Rui in Kraziness in the Kennel I did not think that he was going to have a great game against Duke. I am very glad to be wrong. Rui played great and probably moved quite a few spots up the lottery board. Kudos to JP....Huge win for Gonzaga and his place in Zag history as the leader of our team

Go Zags! Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Voted for Rui as he was clearly our best player but I want to give Perkins some props as well. He struggled with unforced turnovers against Illinois and Arizona in the first half but he played an almost mistake free game and ran our offense at a high high level. Major props to him he was great.

After having a celebratory rib steak and a nice glass of wine I feel like it was a 1 thru 10 team effort including the walk- ons. It takes a complete team to pull this off. Few and staff, hell even the bus driver!!!

Rui
Perks
Clarke
Snacks
Petrusev
Kispert
Jones

Roughly in that order. Maybe put Kispert higher.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2018 MAUI INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS !!

Bump!

Rui my GUnit for sure. Tons of hype and pressure on him around this game. All the talking heads opining about how he would match up vs Zion. Well, he started off by knocking down a 3 on Zag's first possession then proceeded to show all the GM's on hand his shooting, passing, and defensive skills throughout while out-shining the ESPN PR juggernaut known as Duke.

- I voted for coach few, the man deserves some big love, he and his staff got the team ready, and believed in them.
- unlike me, I gotta say I did not think the zags would win, maybe a one in 5 chance. glad to me wrong, glad our coach is coach few.

Clarke’s effort and his 6 blocks (as many as Duke had) decide it for me. Bearing down on the defensive end after missing FTs wins the game.

+1 without that, and with the missed FTs, Zags lose. D does it again to close an elite win

Rui was great, as well as Snacks and Clarke -- but Josh ran the team with poise and skill.
