I found this quite interesting and I know it plays out in Spokane as at least two of the local high schools generally have a tough time competing because those schools are in lower income neighborhoods:

Let me guess, North Central and Rogers? And I haven't lived in Spokane since '72

You are correct Birddog! Though North Central does have a killer boys and girls cross country program. And Rogers used to be a power in wrestling but even that has pretty much fallen by the wayside.
