All is not lost.. Have Faith GU Fans

It has been an interesting year. This is a very young team in terms of GU years and they played one of the most difficult schedule. Honestly, setting aside the unrealistic expectations everyone has for GU basketball ( Thanks Coach for a major program) , Bobzag called it best in his early posts, this would be a challenging year. The only problem is that this team played above everyone’s expectation early on the season. UConn, Duke, Washinton and others, have teased their fans this year. If you take a step back, and if GU is really committed to their players (as a family) and if Josh and Theo are really committed to GU, we all should be jumping up and down for what the future will brings. A stable full of thoroughbred horses and a coaching staff to handle the reins, the next couple of years should meet the level of everyone’s expectations. After yesterdays game, I am sure there is more excitement remaining in this year. If they finish strong, this team can go 22-11 or 23-10 … amazing! This year’s improvement of the some of the players is being over looked. There are still many questions to answer, but if the players continue to improve, and Josh & Theo commit to GU and themselves, we can have one of the best backcourts and front lines in college next year. And we still have a lot more basketball left this year. Go Zags!

If they finish the year with only 10 losses the Zags will have had a great season!!!!

i dont think he meant that we played uconn this year he said that uconn duke washington and others have teased their fans this year...im not sure what he's exactly getting at (probably something along the lines of unfulfilled expectations) but i didnt come away thinking he meant we played uconn after reading it

We didn't play UConn. UConn was 11-0 and ranked. Expectations were high. Today, reality is challenging those expectations. UConn start 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores. But if the stars line up just right, they as GU can be a force in the future.

Look at the progress Pargo has made this year. If he cuts down on the TO and can expeand his range w/ a 10 to 15 ft jumper, he has the ability to be one of the better Point gaurds in the country. Kuso is developing to be a good low post player. As a freshmen, Matt is proving to be very good. Pendo is well, Pendo, blue collar workaholic. Pmac is not having a good year offensively, but he has been good defensively. Micah will only get better with time. The incoming class is showing ###ential… which is only promising, but provides us with hope. If Josh and Theo work things out, next year should be very fun. And there is still more to look forward to this year.
