Hudson and Morrison: Zags had their chances to get back into the game but they just couldn't get over the hump. Their season will come to an end with a 32-5 record. Fsu a winner 75-60.

The Bulldogs dug themselves a hole giving up an early 10-0 run, and then the run on some FSU's threes at the end of the first half, they (GU) got in some foul trouble, after they worked so hard to get back in the game. FSU got those couple threes there late in the first half, and then GU came out flat in the beginning of the second half and FSU didn't. GU cut the lead to five a couple times, they had the ball and it just wasn't their night.

FSU is a tough defensive team, J3 had to bring the ball up court several times and then he ended up running in circles and then obviously not having Tillie in the game did not help. Rui with 16, Zach with 14 and they shot just 34% for the game, lowest of the season. Only 5-20 from three and yes a lot of missed free throws @ 15-24. GU fell behind 16-6 early but they did get the offense cranked up to close to 23-17.

There were a couple times where Rui thought he was going to get some basket and frankly FSU's length they just knocked away the shot as they had 9 blocks on the night. Still J3 eventually hit a shot and Gu eventually did take the lead where they scored 15 in a row, but FSU was better at switching their ball screens than GU anticipated, and as noted GU picked a really bad time to have their worst shooting night of the season.

Still in the 2nd half there were times when it looked like GU could make a move, but FSU had more energy, they were more aggressive and every time GU got close they would make a bonehead play like Kipsert's inbound pass and you just can't do that when you're trying to come back. GU just didn't make plays tonight. The game is about runs and sequences and we didn't close out the first half, they didn't open up the second half well. FSU had 19 assists, GU only 7, FSU really took the Zags out of their rhythm tonight.

FSU 30 points from the bench, GU 6 all from Kispert.

Morrison noted Domas was a really good finisher, using his body and knowing how to use angles to finish, which AMMo said if Rui sticks around those are things he will learn and make him just that much better. AMMO figured Rui had about 5 shots he didn't finish or were swatted away. Still, as Morrison said considering where Rui came from at the beginning of the season he has nothing to be ashamed of.

J3 only got 7 shots up tonight, but he did finish with 11 rebounds. Morrsion noted when you are a transfer to GU sometime it is tough to say you finished your career as a true ZAG but J3 met those qualifications as he was a guy who brought it every single night.

I'm gonna call it a night and a season right there.

Thanks 116. Rui had that 8-10 foot jumper all night long, should've stuck with that. With Killian out, we just didn't have the horses. That last six minutes was painful, we just had no gas left in the tank.

At one point, Jeremy Jones was manning the center of the zone. That says something about the lack of depth.

Thanks for the radio recaps all season, 116... I usually end up missing out on the radio wrap-ups afterward.

At the end of the first half this was the lineup:

5 Jones
4 Kispert
3 Norvell
2 Melson
1 Perkins.

That is not a typo.

Yikes-- never saw that in any of the "potential lineup" threads/discussions to start the year. Crazy game...

Many thanks, 116, for the recaps. I know it's hard work to type all that up in a timely fashion -- they are always great to read.
