That's a surprise, though I think OSU was just playing out the string.

Boy, you know ESPN is just praying for that Western Kentucky versus SMC match-up! Ratings baby!

It would actually be a much better game - likely - two better teams, just not quite as large of fan bases as Ok State and Utah.

Ouch, just like that, Utah up 2.

BYU fans will not let Utah hear the end of it if SMC beats the Utes here.

Come on SMC!

Do teams playing in the NIT earn a profit or do the schools have to pay to participate? Just curious.....

This isn't the most efficient game they've played, that's for certain. Utah probably have something to do with it. SMC up 5 now near the end of the 3rd.

Both SMC games vs Washington and now Utah have been FANTASTIC games.

Exciting. Back n forth. Different styles.

Missing out if not watching some of these NIT games. Whether you care about the NIT or not, its been exciting basketball.

Have really enjoyed Monday and Wednesday games this wk.

I do see your point.

I was speaking more of how they look emotionally, their body language, etc.

they're hanging tough though.

I don't like the 4Q format.

I really like it and the reset of fouls for bonus tied to it. For me seems to provide a better flow but I would reduce 1 team timeout as coaches are picking up 2 additional coaching opportunities

I don't like the 4Q format.

Initially, I hated it. Felt longer, more breaks, choppy. However, after watching a handful of NIT games, I am warming up to it.

Actually, less timeouts, games have been quicker overall.

Makes each "segment"/quarter more exciting in some ways. Seems like teams are always in it with the quarter format.

I wouldn't mind it one bit, but if not, they should definitely adopt the extended 3pt line. No doubt.

The profits (from ticket sales & broadcast rights, etc. less administration, travel expenses, etc.) are split between the teams based on how many games they played, similar to NCAA tourney shares.

I thought the charge was questionable. Definitely oversold. Seems like that is usually a no-call. But, he definitely cleared his space.

I don't know if I like having these "extra fouls" to give at the end of the game, it is certainly different.

Same story for SMC, players are plum tuckered out. Randy works his main 5 into the ground. Breaking down the season into thirds (pre-season, start/middle of conference play and then last 2 weeks of conference + tourney games), Randy uses his main guys way too much during the first 2 thirds of the season and by the time they hit the last they don't have the legs for it. Contrast that to Few who gives his bench much more minutes early on, especially the first third, and then tightens up as it gets closer to the last third. Different strategies to be sure but I think Randy with his less deep bench needs to make an adjustment. But as he is averse to change his scheduling, I suspect he will be stubborn and not change his playing time philosophy.

Did Randy do his trademark blow by after the loss?

How about that, at least one Pac 12 team is having a decent post season. Going to NYC.

The women are kicking butt in the Tourney, but they've been performing much better than men's hoops teams for several years now.

Wasn't the fastest I've seen, but pretty quick.
