Corey Stern, a 6-foot-6 wing from ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo., is emerging in the West. An event record with 28 points all the while grabbing 13 rebounds and blocking four shots.

"(Stern) was the most impressive player in the event, regardless of class," Rock Mountain Fall Showcase director Dave Matthews said. "He is a very bouncy athlete who is very skilled on offense. When he is focused, as he was in this event, he may be the state's best prospect in this class. He is also still a little raw and has a very high ceiling. With a good junior season he could be a high major prospect."

BZ: WSU and other BCS type schools are mentioned. Not Gonzaga.

This kid sounds like a player. Can Matt B make a call for the Zags? Would it be within the NCAA rules? Looks like a shooter like Austin Daye!!

DUMP WSU from your list kid.

Was Director, Dave Matthews, watching the event "Everyday" via "Satellite"? Then going home to watch the "Ants Marching" while taking in a "Jimmy Thing" before "Crash"ing for the night?

Sorry about that, having a tough time staying focused at work and lost my mind for a minute. Please, back to the regularily scheduled intelligent discussions!

Can't wait to see the guys against Emporia State. While it was great to see them at the scrimmage it will be a different look we should get starting with the exhibition and continuing throughout the season.
