He was hired by the NCAA to cover college basketball. Here is the presser that came out in early November:

He also does some mid-week analysis for the Big 10 Network. I am told by a good pal of his that he really, really enjoys the NCAA gig. He has a lot of autonomy. But it is still a shame that ESPN cut him loose. They really have no one who can break stories like Katz can with all of his sources.

ESPN's coverage has really gone down the tubes. They had a brand, but their new writers and analysts aren't in the same league as Andy, Ed Werder, etc.

6. Wichita State is finding out the American is not the Missouri Valley.

The Shockers lost at home to SMU and then again Saturday at Houston. Catching Cincinnati may be moot.
