    ---GUnit of the Off Season---

Ok, we did this right at the end of last season and the overall favorite for GUnit of the Offseason was Pargo.

This is basically who you think made the most progress or the biggest stride in their game. Or if its a recruit that you vote for, maybe they are your GUnit because reports say they have come in ready to go and are having good practices, because we HAVE heard that about a few people.

    My GUnit- MICAH DOWNS

I hear more and more about how he is just tearing it up, and Angelo's latest report just seals the deal for me.

For many, this will be a surprising pick coming from me. My off season GUnit is Josh Heytvelt.

          Interesting concept

Can we have an "anti" GUnit of the offseason?

Someone who mailed it in, failed to produce, looked lazy and lackluster and altogether not Zagworthy?

If so: my vote in that category goes to:

          THE BUNNIES.

                I would agree with you.

Well, this may sound odd, but just for the fact he doesn't look like someone you'd send over 50 cents a month to Africa anymore, Will Foster. Sure it was a scrimmage, but at least he doesn't get pushed around like a stack of leaves. My second pick would be Kuso, again, scrimmage game, but he still made more shots and looked a little more gelled in.

                      HEYTVELT!

He is the best bigman in college basketball....It would not surprse me a bit if GU scores its 2nd POY in 3 years.

                          Surprising choice

My choice? Coach Few for recruiting Coach Ray G to GU, a move that will hopefully pay big dividends after this year's outstanding player recruits are graduated.

I'll go with Josh as well Jim!!! I'm certain that Josh has had to deal with HUGE challenges, both externally and internally, during the off season. I believe that Josh has dealt with a very complex issue in a way that appears satisfying to just about everyone...I have never doubted him. He has had to prove himself to so many people, and in fact to Zag Nation as well; and he appears to be on the right path. I've been impressed with all that I've read about him this summer and fall.

I am hoping he has developed a strong desire to go inside and attack the defending Bigs.
Go Zags!!! The Best Is Yet To Come!!!
