One that I find most intriguing is SMC (12-2) @ BYU (12-2) at 1p. Big game for WCC standings early on the league slate.

A look at the WCC's Upper Tier -- BYU vs SMC

A Saint Mary's win pushes them close to the Top-25 again. Then a few more moves them in. This's important for the WCC in order to put two teams into the Dance again. Would really like to see BYU make it three for the Dance. It's very early (league-wise), so there's a chance. (San Diego's really intriguing this season. Hope they keep winning. Hope San Diego's turn-around is a harbinger of more & more wins, and better & better teams to come.)

BYU's defense is light years ahead of last season. They might be less talented than last season but they definitely look better as a team. Not gonna be a pushover.

And then there were none. UA beats ASU 84-78. ASU kept battling back from double digit deficits in the 2nd half, Cats were kinda barely hanging on at the end. Ayton w/ a monster game and Trier came alive in the 2nd half after a quiet first 20 minutes.

All the talk from BYU fans about them taking over the WCC and unseating Gonzaga, and yet Randy Bennett and SMC seemingly has a better formula for beating them than anyone. They have just totally dominated the series since the Cougars joined the league.
