Hope to see .... Boys grow into Men when it comes to turnovers. I want to see the Zags using their heads more in this game. They have the heart and the skills.

STOP THAT!

I would prefer to slow way down compared to as of late, all to decrease turnovers.

Protect the dam ball and make some shots.

If I was Few, I'd be using this easier schedule to build a very much better "team" with a definable leader and build around the main 9 kids who seem to be the best we have. How he can structure Rui, Larsen, J3, Tillie (4 very talented bigs) will mean a lot. Corey, Josh, Jesse, Silas, Norvell all good but each with problems...and those problems are due to playing out of their best position in large part. We can win the WCC because it's easier . We won't go far with this lousy porous defense and that needs to be shored up. Few needs to coach!

just playing as a team again would be a huge start.

everyone taking their random turns at scoring one on one is killing our efficiency.

UOP always seems to put up a good fight in Stockton, but not so much at the Kennel. It's time to right some wrongs and get the conference schedule off to a good start.

Has nothing to do with head to head. Last years team was a bucket away from a NC

My response was to the statement we are playing one on one ball when facts show we are distributing basketball better than last year

Oh I know, to the eye though the teams are very, very different than what some of the numbers say. I havent looked lately on scoring percentages, points per possession and all that, but the confidence is what I think is lacking, from both players and fans alike.

Two distinctly different teams. Inside vs guard oriented
This years team is up in scoring, assist per game, steals per game shooting %, free throw%
Push on rebounding at 41 per game
Last year was better at blocks and turnover

We are 8 in nation scoring......certainly no where near get mine attitude that some have suggested

Defensively is where we need some improvement and commitment in particular on ball drive defense that is breaking down leading to choppier fouls by bigs which then sends them bench

Pacific plays physical and ugly. I would like to see composure in the face of physical play and dominance as a result. In the end, this team will likely not value possessions being spotty at best in execution. IMO, Zags win by 20 but only due to playing at home along with the large talent gap between rosters.

yes, we've gone up 2 assists on average, yet also 3 TO's on average.

Yes, I agree, we need to improve our turnovers and then our switching on defense. In watching the defense, many time four of the 5 are in great position and the last one is not. Also it is not the same person. Hopefully they will keep working on getting to the correct position when stacking the middle and still protecting the 3 point line.

Should be a slaughter unless something goes horribly wrong. Pacific has lost 4 in a row and by Friday morning it will be 5 in a row. Few does not like to run up the score, especially against WCC opponents, but I foresee a 26 point spread in favor of GU by the end of the game. I do like and respect Damon Stoudamire, so I hope things don't get uglier than that for him and his team.

At last, some guards ours might be able stay in front of. And if they can't, Small & Co. can''t make the shot anyway - or we can foul them and they'll convert about 6 of every 10 FT's. So, we have a myriad of ways to exceed the official 23 pt spread. With JIII, Larson & Tillie providing the bulk of our scoring (say, 55 between them) I'm looking for a skinny cover here: GU 97 UOP 72.

Will someone step to finally be a leader on this team?

Pepperdine Waves are about the same distance from Pacific as Spokane is to Portland.
