Zags suffer their second loss 88-72 to fourth ranked Villanova. VU shoots 51.7% from the floor ending the Zags streak of 64 opponents under 50%. Zags had early 7-2 lead, then tied at 13, the Villanova went ahead to stay. Lack of energy on GU's part. Everytime the Zags got in any kind of shouting distance there was a turnover converted to points, missed free throw or some kind of error. GU actually hitting 48% but the 18 turnovers, many of which resulted in VU points were too much to overcome.

Norvell sets career high with 22 tonight, Perkins 16 and Larsen 10. No excuses said Hudson but the travel coming back this way really effects energy. There was no diving on the floor, they didn't play hard, didn't play tough. Villanova just out played them in every category. For whatever reason GU just didn't have it tonight, not to take anything anyway from VU. A testament to Villanova, who had a good defensive plan and played well. Morrison said Few will have a "fun" film session this week. Lotta turning points like 53-46, VU misses two free throws, get the offensive rebound, scores and one and just like that the lead stretches out again.

Novell has done a good job filling in for Kispert which bodes well for later in the year. In fact Morrison said do you start Kispert when he comes back or do you stay with Norvell. VU outwilled, outplayed, outhustled whatever. Ammo said if you are going to come all the way to NYC you gotta play harder than that. Ammo also said expect Larsen to get more minutes as JW3 laid an egg tonight. GU just didn't do anything defensively, but hats off to Villanova, a really good basketball team.

If there is a coach tonight I didn't get it as due to a previous commitment I had to leave. The above is probably all you want to hear anyway!
