They’re in a tournament. Hall of Fame Classic.
They are better than many predicted this year.

Thanks Reno!

You're welcome. When I have time, I'm glad to do it. When I don't, I'm hopeful others will.

Have an enjoyable Thanksgiving

BYU's defense continues to be a work in progress....on BYU TV...now

Kansas crushed Texas Southern something like 114-71. They are 0-5 on the year. I don't know what they gain from getting thumped for the first 2 months of the season.....other than some guarantee games that help fund the athletic department.

Creighton looks like they are going to be tough. Always attacking, passing well, and quick hands on defense.

Baylor comes back and wins over Creighton 65-59

Creighton will struggle against length and athleticism all year. Great first half plan but shooting failed them in 2nd half. They have to shoot well against top competition to win. They’re a good team though. Definitely top 25.

Dead cold in the 2nd half. Given Baylor's 7 footers, the Jays couldn't rebound either. Feel apart 2nd half. Good team. They'll be ranked soon. We'll be ok unless those guards begin hitting their 3's.

So, Niagra falls to BYU but BYU didn't exactly wash all over them?

Sorry.

But, giving up 88 pts to Niagra at home and winning by 7? It's like they work at being an NIT bubble team.

creighton hit 50% on threes vs northwestern and 38% vs ucla (and 41.7% overall on the year) so either baylor's length in their 'cuse like zone really bothered them or they were just colder than usual...wouldn't count on it against zags.

16.7% 3 pt shooting killed the Jays. Baylor's length and zone changed things quickly although the Jays missed some wide open shots ( a lot ofem in my estimation). Beating 3 ranked teams with the span of one week would have given the Jays a big boost. Not to be.
I'm pretty sure our bigs can keep up with theirs. Not so sure about the guards. Should be a good game with out friends from Omaha. PK80 is crunch time for our guys. If we can grab 2 wins, I'll be pretty happy.

Really nice road victory for Pacific and nice home win for Pepperdine...Defence and BYU are like oil and water but in this case they did enough to win...

Go WCC

IMO, Pepp is dreadful and ORU is bad beyond description , it was a win though.

Yea, I was going to add that the competition wasn't that stellar but as Bird said, it's a win & we obviously want ALL the WCC teams to win ALL their OOC games.

BTW Bird, believe I read where the President of ORU told the Coach not to recruit any kids that weren't Christian. Is that correct?

Stupid move IMO aside from the fact that their team will probably never be competitive. In the theological sense, wouldn't it be a good thing to get a non-Christian ballplayer to your campus, expose him to the Gospel & save his soul?

dumb!

I don't remember all the particulars, but that's the gist of it. I believe the players had to take an oath as well. This started a couple of years ago when ORU got a new president. Scott Sutton who had coached them and done a good job was then fired after a year or two of the new rules as his wins disappeared with the new rules. His argument was much the same as yours. Sutton is now an assistant at his alma mater (OSU). He got the job after the firing of the assistant in the FBI investigation.
