I like that 8 players are averaging ~9+ points -- how would you like to be the opposing teams coach trying to game plan who to put your defensive stopper on (with 3 shooting over 50% from 3).

It's a plan that seemed to work pretty well last year, too. ;)

ETA: If J3 can solve his FT woes, he'll be our leading scorer.

If you are Shaq-bad at shooting FT's why not change your shot? Can't do much worse...

I thought that every time he went to the line. I wish he would change it completely and try the Brent Barry underhand shot. Like you said, can't get any worse.

Funny thing was the team FT attempts were flipped in the 2nd half. Howard 15-16; GU 3-3. All 3 GU attempts taken by (wait for it...) JWIII.

Form didn't appear any different after a halftime pep talk, just results.

I really am wondering if he'll get subbed out situationally (sp??) in tight end games. It may depend on Larsen's development. Larsen appears to be a pretty good FT shooter.

Breaking down stats a little further (I know we’re just 2 games in) but we have 8 guys essentially averaging double digit scoring, 8 guys averaging 4 four or more rebounds and 6 guys averaging 2 or more assists. Pretty impressive.

21 and 22 team assists in the first 2 games.
