IIRC Reno, this is the 2nd year of a 2 year schedule that the league came up with last year. I am of the opinion that all of the schools in the league have seen their travel expenses climb dramatically & probably only GU & BYU can handle it.

Have to believe that they will go back to the 2 @ home, 2 on the road weekends next year.

Doesn't the league pay for conference travel?

Gimme a break. The Zags made enough $$$ for the WCC last year so that no travel expense should be an issue.

I'm pretty certain they do not (during the regular season).

League tournies may be a different animal, however.

You're assuming the schools put their money back into athletics (basketball), which as Few has stated over the year's has not necessarily been the case.

I do not like ending with SD and BYU. That game vs USD always creeps up on us that late in year

I think this is as good of a balance to the league schedule for us that I've seen in a long time. Talking in regards to home/road setup.

I know. I hate road/home and home/road set ups unless you're a BCS league team that plays on the road on Tuesday night and at home on Saturday night. Having to play a home game at GU on Thursday night at 9pm and a 2pm game at Pepperdine on Saturday is not a wonderful thing.

No SMC until mid January. Should be at optimum speed by then.

The Gonzaga @ SDSU game is Dec. 21.

Not sure where the schedule thread is.

Seriously, is that hard to put road games at SCU and USF together?

Interesting how BYU has become the signature end-of-conference game (and not SMC). Is this ESPN-driven? Does vs. BYU sound "bigger, more important" on a national-audience level than vs. SMC?

SMC does not have the fanbase/alumni leverage of a BYU.

At USF will be tough on Saturday 1/13. The boys will have just finished playing a "rugby game" against the Pacific Brawlers on Thursday. Then, as usual, playing in that "fire hazard/cracker box" gym in Moraga and also in front of 30,000 screaming Mormons. Running the table again will be well earned!

Thirty Thousand Screaming Mormons would be a great name for a punk rock band.

We always lose one In conference..... usually to hands of BYU..... I hope your right spy, but going 17-0 was pretty tough in 2013, but going 19-0.... I don't know if that will ever happen. I hope so though!!!!

I suspect ESPN has a effect on the schedule...after all, BYU is the only University in the Conference that isn't a mid major...

If you play all your sports excepting football (and play that as an independent), in a mid-major conference, aren't you a mid-major by definition?

No, you are just trying to humiliate them like the fans of Utah and Utah State and now Utah Valley for playing a church league with high schools gyms
