Zach not going in the first round? Bold, at best, by the writer. I'd wager any amount that won't happen. I'd even raise it to the 20th pick to be a good sport.

I didn't write it. But always fair and balanced:))
Who knows where our kids will land. I just hope it's not the D league after all this grief.

I wonder if the draft outcome is as mysterious to the coaches as it is to us?

I also wonder how confident the coaches are in regard to recruiting for next season?

The only one I pay any attention to :)

According to this:

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-draft-early-entry-list

Zach is in for good, but hasn't quite hired an agent yet. But it basically means he plans to. The overwhelming majority of the in for good players stay in for good.

BTW - NWG is at #61 in 2017....which basically means he's on the cusp of being drafted with DE. There are so many PG's in this draft who are going to be taken ahead of Nigel.

I'd assume he is intelligent enough to have already out feelers out on his draft status, and could even possibly have some sort of tentative promise. Smart NBA teams are much better at operating in the shadows, which also help them land coveted players. It's not a coincidence sometimes when a good player drops. Who know though... I see Nigel as a first round talent given his skill and leadership. I can't think of a player I've been more convinced on then Nigel. There's athletes who never quite pull their game together, but Nigel was the best player on a runner up, 2 loss team. I think scouts are underestimating his versatility...

Marcus Smart was the sixth pick in 2014. Nothing about his game looks better to my eye than Nigel Williams Goss. I guess that's why I'm nit an NBA scout.

Marcus smart has always been the most overrated player.

You don't trust coach few?

I'm curious how Few would compare the two today. Few had never had a NWG on his team back then.

This mock is a joke. Zach is a virtual lock for a lottery pick. Probably a good work out or two away from being a top 10 pick. Nigel could go anywhere from early 2nd round to undrafted. Im hoping he doesnt sign with an agent until he gets a guarantee.

2018 mock draft (http://www.nbadraft.net/2018mock_draft)

I dont know how much you guys pay attention to this site, but Jonathan Williams is projected as the last pick of the 2nd round and Killian Tillie comes in at 19th for next year.

He's already signed with the same agent who represents several other former Zags in the pros including Sabonis, Wiltjer and Olynyk.

The mock draft on CBS Sports yesterday was the worst mock I've ever read and was from some guy I'd literally never seen before. There were terrible slots all over the place and it was way different than the ones I tend to follow due to them being more accurate. The bottom line is that Zach will be a Top 15 pick in the draft and quite possibly a lottery pick. In fact, I would be more surprised if he didn't go by pick 15 than if he was a Top 10 pick. This isn't as a fan, this is based on what I've read/heard from NBA execs, and that he is literally the Top Center prospect in the draft.

Certainly right there with Jarrett Allen and Justin Patton for the best center prospects this year.

Guys you want to stay away from nbadraft.net like it's the world's worst porn site. They've had guys in their lottery in the past who ended up being 2nd rounders. The site is a total joke. All of us could do a better one on this site than those clowns.

9th at SI

https://www.si.com/nba/2017/04/19/2017-nba-big-board-draft-markelle-fultz-lonzo-ball-deaaron-fox

So the other sites have him at 11,10 and 9.

Edit to add: ESPN has him at 11 also.

Usually when you see someone projected lottery who ends up 2nd round, its because a player works their way out of the lottery long term. For instance, Elias Harris at one time was projected a top 10 pick on NBADraft.Net, but over the years his ceiling became much lower as scouts realized what you saw when he was a freshman was pretty much a polished player already. I Know the site owner personally and he has contact with NBA scouts. Like all forecasting, its not perfect and totally opinion based.

Mark represents Pangos, Pargo, Elias Harris, Kim Tillie (Killian's older brother that played at Utah) plus he represented Ronny and Ammo. Looks like there are only two agents for Zags.

CBS (the mock that started this thread) put out a new mock draft today which has Zach at #13. It was either an oversight or they didn't expect Zach to make the jump. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-mock-draft-mavericks-grab-arizonas-lauri-markkanen-to-learn-under-dirk-nowitzki/

There has to be a definite comfort level. I'll bet these guys are low maintenance, compared to other pro athletes.
