Hey guys, I am a long time fan/reader and new poster. Thought you guys may want to check out our team's new uniforms. Hope this works.

Hard to visualize how it look until I see it worn. Hard to imagine going from that trim, tidy image to something like this:

Unlike ZagNative, I can visualize myself as a stuffed sausage in one of those. Probably not a piece of Zag gear I will have on my Christmas list. Much more suited for the athletes on the team.

I like it.

As ZagMd implies, it certainly won't do much for those of us with fuller, more mature physiques; but I think they look sharp.

Are these like those uni's that I think Ohio State, Florida, and another school or two were using last year? They compression fabric stuff? Hope this doesn't make me sound too stupid. :D

Thickman- Yes these new uniforms are very similar to those worn by Arizona, Florida, Ohio State, and Syracuse late last year. A lot of the major "Nike schools" are wearing these uniforms this year, apparently. I saw quite a few others while perusing online.

The style is called 'system of dress'. I want to see them on the GU players before I make any comment. I would think the Athletic Dept. would want to announce this type of stuff...

for the players to wear. It seems alot of the players are bothered by the nylon, or perhaps the stitching, and wind up wearing t shirts underneath.

It's not like they need to be pure vinyl or synthetics and wear like iron to be functional. too many players look uncomfortable to me. their tops sometimes hang on them like they were ponchos, or still on the hangars.

I also think it's normal and could be cool to see them sweating through their clothes, versus those seemingly waterproof canvas garbs most wear these days.

Maybe it's time to "go green" as in able to recycle, too. get way ahead of the pack.

Every year there are changes made to the uniforms. Still not sure I dig the tighter tops. But still better than going back to the short shorts days.

I'll take a wait and see before I pass judgment.

Agreed, though I think that this jersey might just prove advantageous when worn by Ira! and others.

Is the red stripe thinner? Can somebody put up last year's uni so we can compare?

are these going to be the types sold to the public...I wouldn't imagine this to be the case because not many normal people would want to wear this type. hopefuly they keep putting out traditional jerseys to the market

Johnny 'S won with "em"!

But I wouldn't want to try to attract some 2005 to 2010 chicks with 'em.

Oh we need the calendar to move faster! We've started to critique whether the red stripe is the same as last year's uniforms! Help! Give us some games! :D

What happened to the stripe through the number? The standard block number looks clunky since it's not the same font as the wordmark.
