It's an even split on the "Four Factors (http://kenpom.com/blog/four-factors/)" to winning.

Rock Fight, part two.

I love our matchups with Goss, Perkins, J3, Shem and our whole bench. Thornwell is tough. I keep trying to tell myself this is going to be a close game but I just don't see it unless Thornwell goes off (and I don't see him going for more than his average or less).

Rock fight part II is correct. Very similar to WV in the stats dept.

I think the difference will be that because they pick up at half court, our bigs will have a much bigger impact offensively than the WV game. There is nothing they can do about Shem. Not much depth so I think foul trouble will hurt them in the 2nd half where they have been the strongest.

One difference between SC and WV is that WV had a much better rated offense. My hope is that though the defenses of GU and SC are similar, the natural discrepancy between the ease and ways GU and SC can put the ball in the basket will create a good margin.

Here's some recency splits. Big concern is recent offensive efficiency by SC -- look at SC's offense past 3 games, and that's against some good defenses (Duke #54, Baylor #18, Florida #19 in opponent shooting efficiency). They are clearly peaking offensively (and GU's offensive efficiency numbers are down, as many have already discussed).

Also concerning is SC's recent turnover and foul rates.

I agree that the deciding factor in this game is likely dependent upon how GU defends SC's offense.

Thanks for posting the last 3 games. I think that's much better indicator of how we are playing now versus our season stats. The last 3 games makes this look like a much much closer game than the season stats.

this prediction scares me some, its inside our losing zone.

past 5 years, if our opponent scores less than 60 we win each time, and in past 5 years when we score 80 or more, we win each time.
