Williams and NWG were both so good, couldn't choose. That and the 3 balls were raining from everybody.

Easy J-Dub. It might not have changed result but it would have been a 1 or 2 possession game.

I accidentally voted NWG (not that he didn't play well) but I meant to vote for JW3. He was incredible all game long.

JWIII was the proverbial foot on the throat. His aggressive game and hot 3pt. shooting made for a fairly relaxing game.

JWIII was just a beast the entire game.... He is such an X factor with his blocked shots and his offensive moves. So proud of him to shine in that moment...

I went with J3!
Special shout out for ..... Zag Nation! (not to forget the leadership and heart in NWG + the whole rest of the team!).
These Zags are something else! Going where no Zag has gone before .....
Hat's off to Xavier. They play well. Wish them the best next season!

Man, it's gravy on gravy now! Might even have to drop some serious bucks in my neighborhood GU store!

I won't replace my lucky ZAGS hat though!

Williams! However, most significant result was the return to the team of February. We've beaten Florida, Wisconsin cannot match up. The Zags are the best GU team ever, and they will be in the championship game.

Go Zags! Beyond! Win it all for the team you are, for the school and the city, for Coaches, and most of all, for yourselves! You will never forget it, and no one will ever be able to take it away from you!

Go Zags! Achieve your destiny. Just refuse to lose. And, by the way, thanks for a fantastic year that will continue.

Williams had the all around game. But this was a team win.

Williams played the best game.

But, I went with NWG - b/c even the best armies with the best weapons (and Williams is quite the weapon), need a general, need a guy who everyone else looks to to set the tone and direct everything.

We probably don't win without JWIII, but JWIII doesn't have the game he had, nor Josh have the great game he had, without the "leader" directing everything.

But, there is no "wrong choice" - Few could get it, easily - really good game plan and managed serious foul trouble.

Williams was unbelievable. He was everywhere doing everything. What an effort!!

And NWG is very special.

Williams, but honorable mention to Perkins for (ahem) getting the monkey off his back and knocking down some big shots.

Bluiett had 10 pts( well below avg) and 4 TO's, Zags and JW3 in particular shut him down

Yes, JWIII, the MOP was my pick too.

I can't say enough about the entire team, the coaches, and all of the old dogs who made this Final Four happen.

I voted JWIII, he was just so important to the victory. To have to guard the other teams best player and still produce every where else on the court was amazing. The amount of energy and focus he displayed all game was incredible.

I voted team, but J3 was the MOP of the Regional.

As to our defense, Xavier was limited to 6 points in the final ten minutes.

Just curious, does J3 get credit for the 2 points he scored for X??? Or does a player only get credit for points scored for his own team??

What a stud J3 has turned out to be. Great game last night, he got my vote. Can't wait to see where his game is at this time next year. Also loved the guard play last night -- congrats all around!! I would love to see Karno, Collins, and Tillie all have a great next game so they have even more shining memories of this historic run to carry with them.

No brainer is 3 but josh was super all game

His three in the last secs of the first half was huge, fending off an X run

I don't think this can be stated enough. He was so good in this game. They are so much better as a team offensively when JP plays like that. Aggressive and confident.

Yes, Doc:

Williams was joined on the West Regional All-Tournament team by two teammates, Jordan Mathews and Nigel Williams-Goss. Williams-Goss leads the Zags in points (62), assists (14) and steals (8) during the NCAA Tournament. Mathews has been the team’s most productive outside shooter, connecting on 11-of-32 3-pointers.

Ignore the stats for a moment and marvel at the great defense that JW III played in that game. Whichever player he guarded seemed to freeze and look to get rid of the ball. He was huge in this game.
