This one is easy. Nobody really distinguished themselves during the game, so Mathews w/ the game winner.

Has to be the defense (is that an option)? JWIII was great in the first half, but disappeared in 2nd due to foul calls. Shem hit a couple of big ones in 2nd half.

The defense on that last play was fantastic

I voted Mathews, that was so clutch.

Defence on the last possession was incredible.

Mathews made the solo 7 point run early in the second half. The final shot was the win.

I wavered back and forth between Williams and Karnowski, but then a singular moment changed everything. Mathews for the Unit!

Matthews was a beast at the end.

So tough. Maybe Few for leaving Mathews in after he picked up his 3rd foul to start the second half. He proceeded to hit 2 straight 3s.
JWill first half GUnit
Karno for much ot the second.

But JM

Matthews was a beast at the end.

Yes he was. Still voted for Karno for most impact over the distance.

NWG was glued to Carter. Carter couldn't even look up.

Wow wow wow.

Haven't rewound the DVR yet, but before Mathews last 3, NWG had the ball but had it stolen away, and it looked like their big guy had a layin - but was it blocked or did he just lose it back to NWG? That was a big turning point...

Survive and Advance. Mr Mathews is GUnit. Maybe I should have voted for the D.

I voted Rui because he was the least prepared to play, and did a good job. Mathews for the 3's. J!!! for the first, Karno for the game W-Goss for the D and JP for the overall 'bringing the ball up"

Jordan Mathews.

I chose Josh

His handles held up extremely well with respect to defensive pressure.
I claimed that WVU would chew him up and spit him out.
I was wrong.

Josh was very composed today... Good to see that. I thought I just heard on the post-game radio broadcast that he is sick?

A big shout out to Silas Melson too. What a team though. Special thanks for Rui and Jeremy for helping out as well. The Zags needed just about everyone to get this win. What a game!

told my son at the start of the game Mathews is the key to the game. He hit some threes and the biggest one down the stretch. I have a feeling it is going to give him confidence and he is going to unstoppable in the rest of the tournament.

I will go with Matthews....his clutch threes in the 2nd half offset the mistakes he made in the first half...honorable mention to Josh Perkins...only 1 turnover for the entire game and that was after he stole the ball and then got trapped by 3 WV players....I was so worried that the would melt down and WV would score way more off turnovers than they did...

Goshzagit

Mathews with the rock star award and clutch shot of the game, but in terms of off the ball play & basketball is more than shooting...

Williams III gets my vote hands down.

His defense, rebounds, boxing out their offensive crashers, key buckets in 1st half, & some toughness they respected.

Without J3, we lose...and get beaten even worse on glass.

Lucky to have him.

Went with Matthew's but felt Shem played an outstanding game. People got on him in the game thread but he followed those complaints up with brilliant dribble-down plays that were unstoppable! Perks also played under the weather, but came up big!

I'm happy to vote for Jordan. He was trending on Twitter tonight as was Gonzaga.

Our guards played great defense.

Team! Defense! Perkins had the handles, Shem the on-floor director and coach, Mathews and Williams the shots, JWG and Melson the key role players, Collins the key to the final stop. Team effort that will continue to the end. Those who return will be a great core to build around next season, but wow, will we miss those who depart. Zags history includes many unforgettable, "there will never be another . . ." Voted Shem for his leadership, but wouldn't dispute votes for anyone, players and coaches alike. One game from a major goal and becoming the official best ever Zag team, but no reason to stop there! As the Music Man said, "I may not come this way but once."

Go Zags! At the door of the Final Four! Then step through and finish!

He's the leader in the aggregate for the first 3 games IMO, but Mathews had the bigger onions yesterday on that one play.

Lots of great arguments for all candidates, but the clear winner in my opinion is Matthews for having the moxy to take and make the shot!

Mathews for the game winner, and for hitting 100% of his 2 FTs.
