Yup! Sporting News ranks Zag's at #4 of 16, but says Zag's have to stop playing "egg shell"
Basketball.......stop thinking about not losing and start thinking about winning.

Lots of good friends who are usually reliable GU supporters in the Tournament are picking W VA. Time to double down and prove them all wrong. Oh Yee of Little Faith!

See you in San Jose - Go Bulldogs!

I think the game will rest on just how good our defense is. WV has not faced a team with as good a defense as ours. Sure maybe their press will cause us grief, but I believe it is counteracted by our defense limiting their ability to score. Every pundit is focused on WV defense causing us to fail. I believe their defense is offset by our defense and we win -- 60 to 50.

I hate teams like WV. They foul every Defensive possession. Guards lean into our guards as they go up the floor and force them into the corner. It is a foul. But refs don't want to call a foul every time. It is horrible. Louisville does the same thing. It isn't good defense. It is fouling. And refs are to chicken crap to call it.

This is not the az I would want to play....

It's funny, the way the wild cat guards are playing right now reminds me of how we were playing at the start of the year.

Here comes Arizona (Trier)

Trier is such a huge player for Arizona.

Wouldn't solve Xavier's zone if not for him.

Has 20 easy points tonight so far...

Horrible quick shot by Xavier. Way too early. Some of the late game executions leaves a bit to be desired tonight.

Hopefully we get those AZ fans at our game on Saturday. And now instead of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, we are getting Bill Murray.

I was worried about facing AZ again... just that extra revenge factor. But Xavier is a good team!

Soemwhat off topic ...

the Phoenix Suns' starting lineup tonight had an average age of 21 point something years.

Of the eight Sweet 16 teams that played tonight, only Purdue's starting lineup was younger. GU's was the eldest.
