KenPom projection is Gonzaga 76, West Virginia 72. Zags given a 64 percent chance of winning.

WVU will no doubt be tough with that press.

But then again, if it was such a great basketball strategy, everyone would be doing it.

The one thing I'll say about Gonzaga and WV's press is that Mark Few has played against WV twice in the last five years I think and Handled the press quite well and beat WV both times.

              Go Zags!!!

Think it's been three times. Once in the tourney, once at home, and once at wvu

For those that may not know about "538", here's the link:

Zagceo posted a portion of what "538" has to offer. There are also individual game probabilities in real time as the game progresses.

Not that it's the End-All to Be-All, but it's kind of fun to follow. Sometimes its correct, sometimes its not. Just another graphic,.... but a fun one.

In some ways, this 538 and KenPom are based on our rpior work. A word of caution: We're not playing like we did in the regular season. It makes me nervous.
UWV is a tough focused squad. If you remember the last time we played them, we were well behind. Pangos e.t al. barely squeeked it out at their place. I thought the game was lost. I'm still not sure how we pulled it out.

I thought UVA was eliminated from the tourney today?

The WV defense is very good. But, according to KePom, ours is slightly better - #1 vs. #5. Our offense is #12 vs. their #25. We are both very good teams. We should expect a competitive game – one in which both teams will be focused and playing at maximum effort for the full 40.
WV lost eight games this year; Temple, Texas Tech, K State, Oklahoma, OK State, Iowa State, Baylor, and Kansas. Only the last two remain in the tourney. To be fair, WV also beat every one of those teams except Temple.
