What does this mean? They are favored by 5.5 over a top twenty team. There are very few teams that will be in the tourney that they will NOT be favored against. I'm sure we would all prefer a double digit spread, but give the Gaels some credit. They played pretty well last night.

I hate to even bring up the name Saint Mary's..but last night I came away very impressed after watching them pick apart BYU. Their ball movement, creativity and team ball was a treat to watch. At this point spreads don't mean jack. This is a rivalry and we can see it either way. On a standpoint of the last few games though I would give the edge to the Gaels.

I hope I eat crow tonight.

SMC isn't approaching this game like it's a "game". They crushed BYU last night. I hope our guys know how they feel. Must go hard from the opening tip. Can't get behind on SMC. No first half malaise.

I took GU on the ML and 1H -2.5. Not comfortable with the -5 spread after getting burned last night. I believe Perkins, Mathews and Silas have to play much better for us to cover. Not gonna hold my breath though. Another effort like last night and it's a 1 possession game.

It's down to -4.5 now… I find they can be shockingly accurate, but I think this game is one they aren't getting right. I put the spread at -10.

St. Mary's looked very good last night. I expect a good game. St. Mary's reminds of the team of old guys at the Y where you see them before the game and think you're going to run them out of the gym and then 10 minutes and 3 back-door cuts, 2 pick and rolls, and a three pointer later you're down 10. The sum of the parts is better than the pieces, but I think that's true for us too. I'll take the Zags at -4.5 but should be close.

Well, if we are able to win, we'll sure benefit from the fact that SMC looked so dominant against BYU.

They couldn't care less about "getting it right". Their only goal is to get half the money on each side, and collect their 10% without risk. That's why the line moves when most of the money is on one side.
