Probably....given that BYU has all the momentum going into the WCC Tournament...it is improbable, but possible, they could win it and get the automatic bid and a seeding that would match them against a team like the Cardinals ....and St Mary's would go to the NIT....

There's no way a top 20 team is going to the NIT, that's preposterous.

Even if they lose first game of WCC tournament they aren't going to NIT... They're a lock now

There is no way the WCC will get three bids....IF the Gaels lose their first game in the WCC and IF BYU wins the Tournament, Gonzaga will get the at large.....who would have thought that BYU would beat the #1 team in the Country on their own court ? Crap happens..

The Gaels are currently projected as a 6 seed, that is barely the seed of a top 20 team....that is not a lock, IMHO of course...

I guess I'm leaning on a lot of respect everyone has been giving Gaels. I'll respectfully disagree

Well you are probably right....that is the most likely outcome.....but...other outcomes are remote but possible... it is never over till it is over as Yogi would say...you can bet the other WCC teams are plotting....SF could have a lot to say about the outcome...

Xavier goes down. That's 5 in a row. AND they've lost 9 of their last 14. Ouch.

Would be nice to play in a conference where you can do that and still be considered for an at-large. Though they may want to take care of Marquette and Depaul to avoid any suspicion of their worthiness.

Beware the lurking, underachieving BCS team as a 7 seed in the round of 32. Like Michigan, Notre Dame, etc.
