Last road block to 30-0. Thoughts, predictions, etc... one more regular season "Have at it boys and girls".

Road block? From this vantage point doesn't even look like a speed bump for the steam roller Zags

For what it is worth, BYU probably played their best game of the season last night beating Portland 97-78 for Coach Rose's 12th 20 win season with Bryant scoring 39 points... they can score..

I think the Zags are gonna rip 'em. They would have in Provo if it weren't for some (frankly awesome) unconscious shooting in the 2nd half by Haws

Zags 92, Cougs 79. Our defense will be just too much for BYU. For some reason BYU seems to play some of their best games against the Zags, so I expect the Cougs to play some defense, but if you don't practice defense every game, it gets tough to do well for two or three games a year.

Tough first half. Pull away some. Lots of distractions, parents, senior night, record, elbows to the prostate, shoulders to the head and ankles extended in front of drivers.

Hope this is the last we see BYU this year - should be.

That's 15 under BYU's average for the year. Wouldn't surprise me if we win by 30+, I expect the Kennel to be rocking, and the Zags snaring #30.

I'll probably be sobbing as the game winds down...I'm a softie at heart. This has been a special season, one for the ages.

After nearly a 60-point win, this one is tough to predict. I hope to see a great game on both offense and defense for GU. I also hope that they have worked against that 1-3-1 zone in practice and would love to see them shred it apart when BYU goes to that to slow them down.

106-58 makes a 48 point win and more history for the Zags.

UNLV once steam rolled its conference opponents by an average of 29.7 points per game. My prediction puts Gonzaga's average margin of victory at 29.8 ppg :)

As it is, Gonzaga average margin is at 28.7 ppg in conference!

The main two things I want to see are no injuries and Rem to get the start for the game...don't know that the 2nd will happen but I can hope. Otherwise, I think we take care of business at home on Senior Night. I think BYU is a team that has a lot of young talent but I don't see it being all that close in the end.

Few has started walk on Seniors before for Senior night. Play him until first media timeout unless things get really weird, then just call a timeout.

Again, too much on the line this year. Maybe start him and take him out after first foul or out of bounds.

Be very disappointed if the program elects to forgo recognition for a senior who has sweat and blood for the program

You are implying the team could not function for a few minutes with him in court. I whole heartedly disagree

NO INJURIES !! Don't want to have to sweat it. Get us to up to # 1, 2 or 3 AdjO, keep #1 AdjD KenPom; better FT % ; 3 or 4 nice dunks; seeing Karno and Rem with parents; Everybody having a great time because it IS A Great Time!

BYU with all their talent is always a threat. Let's just win this one, have no injuries and ready ourselves for the next step. I'm sure the seniors get their time. Such a grand event when the kids figure out what friends they've made and how well they've done on and off the court.

Looks like the last senior to not start the final home game of the season was Brian Bhaskar in 2014, Pacific's first season in the WCC. (Seniors the past two years were all regular members of the starting lineup.)

Kafusi represents his school in a manner we've grown accustomed to since they joined the WCC. Accurate reflection of his coach too.

Bulldogs should score a hundred vs defense-challenged Byutes, but, throwing the only wrench they have, rough and borderline dirty play, into the machine, the ugly result will be a fifty-plus foul fest: GU 86 Cougs 68. ESPN will search in vain for a highlight.

Check your B-I-N-G-O card folks:

1) BYU gets a 1 point lead with 18 min to go in first half leading telecast team to say, "Could this be an upset?!"
2) Collins with bad foul and then a play that makes you say, "That kid is going to play in the association"
3) A cut to John Stockton
4) At least 7 conversations about if Gonzaga should be the #1 overall seed
5) Rem gets into the boxscore

Vegas says to fade the under and the spread (-20/165.5) so...

This is the only close prediction. Good call. Look at all the other predictions. I rolled my eyes as I read them before the game. Not even close. As Matt Santangelo said just before the game, "this is a dangerous game." As Mikva said after the game, asked how they won, he said we are a young team getting better. Three of the starters are from the legendary Alpine team that won the HS national championship beating teams from CA and NY. As homers, we sometimes get too full of ourselves.
