Thanks Reno...

Some big games there...

Can Butler pull an upset on the road?? Would that be sweet if they could and maybe TCU can win too!

Sure hope BSU beats UNR...they both need this win...

Exciting win for Syracuse over Duke. Fans storm the court. Hard to think Syracuse won't make it's way into the tournament.

Kansas clinches 13th straight conference championship.

Hate to see the Orange in the 8-9 game. Dook getting lavish praise by the ESPN bots. Pathetic.

Ducks impressive. 16 points in the first half. Against Cal?

Eh. We are much better than cuse and can really use NWG to drive it a ton. We'd be fine

Butler will be a tough out in the Big Dance. Nova's seniors drop their first home game in their careers

I'd love to see the Ducks shipped out of the West Region, but I don't think they will get a No. 1 Seed. I think that last No. 1 is UNC's to lose.

Our path to the Final Four will go through Oregon and Dillon Brooks.

If Zags win out, that might just happen. I still think the Selection Committee will come up with some way to screw the Zags out of the # 1 overall, even if they go 33 - 0.

( Now, where did I put my tinfoil hat. .? )

Nova to 2 seed east
Louisville to 2 seed Midwest

Oregon or Arizona one seed east, the other two seed west

Minnesota, Providence, Michigan, Seton Hall, DePaul, Arkansas, OK State, Houston, and Vandy win.

Nevada 85
BSU 77 FINAL Stats: http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=144730

Oliver, Marshall, Fenner, and Caroline are a good nucleus. They still need to take care of business in the MW tourney but I think they can take last year's post-season tourney championship experience into the Big Dance and make a little noise.

No way a single loss at this point to a ranked team, even at home, bumps what the committee viewed as the #1 overall seed down to a two.

Is Xavier in trouble? Lost 4 in a row. Lost 7 of last 12. Record of 3-7 vs. RPI top 50. Have to play Butler and Marquette next. If they lose both of those...?

It would seem that UA might well have a say about who wins the P12...

Oregon did not have to play UA on the road so I would think they will play in Vegas on a neutral court...I think that winner will have a good look by the committee for a #1 seed.

I feel confident that KU and GU will be on he 1 line but not sure who will be joining them...could be V, UNC, UA, UO or even UL if they win out...

If both KU and GU win out, KU will IMO be the overall #1 seed...

And will from here out, no matter if we win each game out by 25 or more.

The message, "No team from the WCC will ever be allowed to be a No. One overall seed. Period." Some years that makes sense, if we didn't have the stats and 6 or more top 50, 3 top 20. If there was a juggarnaught with 1 loss. Then one can be exactly right. This is different.

But, who are we to diss Seth? He's the one who was closest to the semi-official position.

UA v. Oregon in the Pac Champ (if it works that way) would be a war

Who are Seth and Graham? Are they on the selection committee?

I would bet that if GU, KU, Villanove, UNC win out, then KU will be the #1 overall seed and GU will be second...

IMO KU has the best back court in the country (Mason, Graham and Jackson) and they have played lots close games against many of the Top 50 opponents and that is what the Committee will grade them on...

Villanova lost on their home court and proved they do not have any kind of a bench!

Tennessee and Akron losing recently blew GU's chance for the top 1 seed because they fell out of the RPI top 50. That metric seems to be what the committee relies on for seeding/selection, so GU having just 5 wins will not compare to Kansas, Villanova, or UNC in the committee's eyes.

You don't need a deep bench to survive the Dance, not with longer TV time-outs, and you're playing two games a week.

Still, I'll be very happy if our entire 8 man rotation is healthy when the tournament starts.

Unless UCLA wins at Arizona, UCLA and Oregon will have to meet in the semis. Tossup at best that Oregon and Arizona meet in the finals. Pac would rather see UCLA in the final for ratings.

TZF, sorry, I know who those two are...it was tongue-in-cheek...

As for Villanova not needing a "bench" I remember Ray Meyer of Depaul (1980-81), the #1 team in the final AP poll, playing and using six players...he had a great starting five but lost to St. Joseph's in the first round...

I can't remember any team since then that only played with six players and winning the tournament...

I'm not saying it can't be done but it is just highly unlikely...
