Is it just me, many, many times I see what appears to be encroachment by players across the line before the ball has left the shooters hand. Why is this not called more by the refs. You. as a player, are at a disadvantage if you do not do the same. If I'm right I would like to see this rule enforced more. ( things get a little dull around here when all you team does is win, it gives us nothing to bit-h about.)

I see it too. Also, why don't refs enforce the time rule that gives a team, what, 15 seconds to replace a player who has been disqualified due to fouls?? Coaches use it as a fake time out, gathering their players along their benches. That shouldn't be allowed. It's not as bad since they shortened the time limit, but it's still an issue.

NCAA Rules (2015) (https://ncaambb.arbitersports.com/Groups/104883/Library/files/BR15.pdf): Free-Throws begin on page 74

e. No player shall enter or leave a marked lane space or contact any part of the court outside the marked lane space until the free-thrower has released the ball.

h. Players occupying any of the legal marked lane spaces on each side of the lane may break the vertical plane of a lane-space boundary once the freethrower has released the ball. (See Rule 8-4.)

i. Players occupying a legal marked lane space may not have either foot beyond the vertical plane of the outside edge of any legal lane boundary or beyond the vertical plane of any edge of space (2 by 36 inches) designated by a legal lane space mark or beyond the vertical plane of any edge of the lane until the ball is released by the free-thrower.

As for the 15 seconds to replace a disqualified player, the coach can use it in whatever way he wants. They can use 1 second or all 15. I don't believe there is any rule stating what the time has to be used for. The time continues to be shorted, just two years ago it was 20 seconds and before that it was longer.

One that I find interesting is:
NCAA Rule Changes (http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2015-06-08/ncaa-changes-shot-clock-30-seconds-makes-other-changes-game)

Faking fouls

During the use of a video review to see if a possible flagrant foul occurred, the panel approved a rule that would allow officials to penalize players who fake fouls. The NCAA Menís Basketball Rules Committee felt that players trying to draw fouls by deception is a growing issue.

Apparently if you stay under 6 steps, you're ok. (BTW, NBA can barely be called a sport anymore; pure entertainment, becoming Globetrotter-esque. But the entertainers are very well paid.)

Yes, that would be one Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk from Ukraine. Quick footwork, no doubt a by-product of Cossack dancing heritage. Young Sviatoslav has "NBA" written all over him.

Was there a rule change on palming/carrying during a dribble??? Seems like all guards do this now, ours included. Never see it called.
