No one can make a logical case for Washington's Lorenzo Romar, whose seat is as hot as it ever has been during his 15-year run with the Huskies.

I bring this up because I'm sick and tired of hearing people ask: What about Romar?

Aargh.

Washington is currently 9-16 overall, 2-11 in the Pac-12 and 11th in the league standings. The Huskies, losers of seven straight, are tanking their way toward their first losing season under Romar since 2007-08. But his program has been sinking for some time.

That last Sweet 16 appearance was eight seasons ago. Barring an unlikely Pac-12 tournament title, Romar is going to miss the NCAA tournament for the sixth consecutive season. If you are one of three people who care about the National Invitation Tournament, he's missed that twice in the last four seasons. Here's his conference record since 2012-13: 32-40.

Good coaches have an occasional bad season. They don't have multi-year slumps more than 15 years into their career.
