Being top 5 on O and D is INCREDIBLY rare, the shortlist of just 3 other teams that have achieved this in the last 10 years were all national champions including Kansas in 2008, Duke in 2010 and Villanova last season.

Yup. This defense went up 2 spots in Ken Pom without NWG. Pretty damn cool.

We are!

Funny, I thought the defense might go down with allowing SCU to shoot 39% from the field (which is certainly not bad, but not as great as the Zags have been of late).

Must have been the empty possessions. SC had at least four shot clock violations.

Since 7 champions WERE NOT in the top 5 does that mean it "MEANS NOTHING" other than only 3 out of 10 says you don't have to be in this category to be NC...just curious.

To me it shows that 3/3 were champions when this has happened. The other 7 weren't eligible lol

These efficiency ratings are even more impressive to me when I consider that the 3rd unit is on the floor for extended minutes almost every game.

I dont think you you read the OP correctly. Only three teams have accomplished top 5 in both O and D over the past 10 years. All national champs.
