hard to tell if this is new or the hammer falling on an old infraction...he's just a chronic cheater but will be lionized by Vitale and the a-kissing media if he wins in B-ton.....

Some sports news stories just fail to surprise anymore. This is one of them.

To paraphrase the Kelvinator after he was sanctioned at Oklahoma. "I didn't view myself as a cheater or think that I was violating any rules. We were just trying to outwork the other guys"
Yeah right. It would be a little tiny bit easier to take if he weren't so sanctimonious.

Gotta love all these guys bashing the few who are willing to criticize Sampson right after ANOTHER recruiting violation.

Wow, surprise surprise.

Where's a parent to put someone on restriction for abusing the cell phone?

Additional illegal calls..... (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071017/SPORTS0601/310170009) Considering that the NCAA is in Indianapolis, my guess is the hammer is going to fall hard on Sampson and IU. Post season ban?

I remember quite well a phone call interview that was on the air by our local "SportsMoron" radio station where The Kelvinator told the interviewer that had he known about (or how to) text message, it's quite likely the violations would not have occurred at OU. He also said texting was in his future at IU.

As a sidenote, it's quite likely that Kelvin is the only male in history that didn't know he was involved in a "three way", and nine times to boot!

that Sampson's keepers, supporters and bosses haven't figured out how to keep this guy on a close tether.

Maybe wire his mouth shut after hours. Take away his phones. Put him into a Betty Ford Clinic or it's equivalenty for cheaters. Something . . .

Because if/when he chews through that restraint, as he seems wont to do, he hasn't the smarts or discipline to keep the rules. So he gets fined, slapped, charged and faces getting fired. Again.

But for some reason, that doesn't seem to have registered. Does he have (NCA)ADD ?

At some point the business of bkb has to ask, how much is enough and when do the rules actually apply to everyone and evenly ?

And why isn't there a three strikes rule or something like it ?
