Maybe that's why directv doesn't negotiate with pac12 network

Hey, 62; I get Zag games on Root via Direct T-V up here in MT. What's your situation in Mizzou?

Still get them on ROOT channels 683 or 687. Not sure if that's the channels you have to flip to, but that's what I have to do.

So it will be up to Heister to defend the Beavs while Walton leads the cheers for his beloved Bruins. The commentary will almost surely be more interesting than the actual game.

Heister tones his act down when he works for Pac 12 Network. I am at a loss to predict how he will react to being alongside Walton and his peculiar brand of commentating. This could be either the worst duo ever for a play by play, or a stroke of genius. Might have to watch just to hear what happens, who cares about the game (Bruins should roll).

Watching Michigan State vs Northwestern. Stephen Bardo is the color man. One of my favorites. I miss him on ESPN Gonzaga broadcasts.

Also a fan of Bardo's work. He seemed to really like coming to Spokane, mixed it up with the Kennel Club as I recall.

Bill Walton just asked Greg Heister during the game, "Greg? that is your name right"?

Seems like Heister is doing okay so far, isn't he?

Did Heister get the answer right ?

Did Heister get the answer right ?

Heister seemed surprised then said yes. Walton then asked how many G's in your name. Walton has pretty much taken over the broadcast.

He is doing much better than a GU broadcast. I wonder why he falls apart when he does GU games.

Embarrassment to broadcasting profession.

Walton is pretty far out there in left field during a broadcast. You can either go along with him for a zany ride or not. Heister seems to be totally game for it and is enjoying the experience.

I'm enjoying the broadcast. Fun stuff, especially with Oregon State's performance. Come on Beavs!

UCLA downs the Beavers in Corvallis by about a dozen. Beavs put up a good fight, but too much Lonzo Ball and TJ Leaf down the stretch.

Bill Walton did a non-stop magical mystery tour of the Northwest ("Hey Greg, ever been to Port Angeles?") and Europe ("Ever been to Montenegro?") He also recited the length in miles of each of the coastlines of Oregon, CA, Florida, and Alaska. Heister did a creditable job in calling play by play and playing straight man to the Hall of Famer Walton. Whatever Heister was paid for this night's work, it was not enuf!
