I would love to see the WCC go undefeated, but three would be good wins. Two would be especially powerful, USF and SCU.

I think the big wins would be:
USF (8-2) over Utah (7-2). Utah's two losses are to #13 Xavier (77-69) and to #18 Butler (68-59)
LMU (6-3) over UT-Arlington (9-3)
SCU (5-7) over Valpo (9-2). Valpo's two losses are to #4 Oregon and #6 Kentucky.

Agreed...those would all be great wins for the WCC.

Haven't seen the Dons yet this year; they have put up a lot of points. They might be capable of knocking of the Utes. . .of the games available to view on TV today, theirs is the only one I'll make time for.

This game could give us clues as to just how good the Dons are this year. GU's trip to USF is almost always a difficult one ... remember the Sacre' technical several years ago that cost us?

I've never gotten over the blind save of Stephen Gray's, it let them back in the game. Argh!!!

It might have been the first game of the year, but CSUB impressed me against Arizona. BYU should definitely be able to handle them in Provo, but might not be a cake walk.

Marshall and Cincinnati tied at 91 in OT. Fun game to watch. The Thundering Herd have given the Bearcats fits.

Cincy pulls is out.

USC is undefeated and playing Missouri State tonight in Vegas. Of course the Trojans haven't really played anyone of substance, but still, an 11-0 start to the season is not a normal thing to see at USC.

The UNLV schedulers were idiots to bring in Duke and Kansas on consecutive weeks to blast their men's basketball team who has a new coach (and not the one they wanted) and almost an entirely new roster. But this is the same administration that felt they could get Randy Bennett to coach their team for one dollar and 88 cents. My, my has that program fallen since the days of Tarkanian. Rice could recruit but was clueless with the X's and O's.

SCU and Valpo are tied at 70 with 50 ticks left. Brownridge has 22. Could be a huge road win for the league. Valpo is a good team.

USC beat BYU. I honestly don't know if that will count as a quality win.

.

USC is 2-0 vs KenPom Top 50. The Zags are 3-0 vs KenPom Top 50. Who knows how things will turn out but at this point it's my belief that USC is being undersold a bit and as you've said, they ARE 11-0.

Fair enough in regards to USC. But it's a criticism that they've received in regards to their schedule. Not that Coach Enfield should be assembling a murderer's row sked when he's still trying to develop the program. The true test will be the Pac 12, which they can do quite well in if they have improved as advertised.

Valpo and SCU are tied at 74 with 54 ticks left in OT

As predicted, Kansas is up 29 on UNLV in Vegas in the 1st half. Idiotic scheduling. The game is being played on campus, and the whole upper level looks empty. More KU fans than Vegas fans.

Washington played Seattle U tonight.

There was no television coverage available.

The game was broadcast on KOMO radio.

No Pac12 stream evident.

The game was available on the WAC converence stream.

Nine new players, and USF looks like they've played together for years. Purposeful and confident in their offense, and a bunch of shooters. Not much of a defensive team, but a dangerous one that looks like they can outscore anyone on a given night.

Dons quietly move to 9-2.

USF offense looks eerily similar to St Mary's. Hmmm...

Kyle is as good a coach if not better than randy. Turned around Columbia program in couple of years.

two huge wins for the wcc with usf knocking off utah and brownridge beating valpo on the road (haven't checked boxscores but i'm guessing he had one of those games -- might have killed any chance valpo had at an at-large this year).

too bad lmu couldn't get over the hump against ut-arlington...would have been a fun one to hold over smc.

Yes and no. Not sure if Kuzma could have stopped them from making 16 of 28 3's, and with Kuzma playing, does Barefield(sp?) go off for 35?

actually just looked up utah...not that big a win as you would assume this year. staff must have realized all the personnel losses and scheduled like randy bennett. for all its flaws, rpi still tells you something and utes are at #227 and haven't beaten anyone.

Couple of things. Barefield and Collette, the 2 guys just eligible, are combining for 40 ppg on over 60% fg's the last 2 games. Also, RPI at this point largely tells who you played. Kenpom's 72 is closer to accurate, but w/o 2 of their best players, so probably closer to 50ish when all's said and done. Time will tell.
