Even though he hasn't played in awhile it became official today

From Wikipedia

"Ronny Turiaf /ˈroʊni ˈtɜːriɑːf/ (born January 13, 1983) is a French retired professional basketball player who played a total of 520 games[1] in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and won the championship with the Miami Heat in 2012. Turiaf was a member of the French national basketball team, earning 100 caps for his country.[2]"

"He announced his retirement from basketball on October 24, 2016,[26] almost two years after having appeared in his last game and after having been plagued by hip pain for a long time.[27]"

Looks like he earned about $15M over his 10 year NBA career. Good for him

Still my all-time favorite Zag for the way he played, his infectious attitude and representing the university so well. Congratualtions Ronny. Enjoy the next phase of your life.

Mehan posted this link last night.

Ex-Gonzaga great Ronny Turiaf announced his retirement Monday in an artistic 4-minute, 42-second video posted on YouTube.

“My objective was always to play 10 years in the NBA and to play 100 times with Team France,” Turiaf says in his native French, translated with English subtitles on the video. “I can honestly say that I achieved all my goals. So now, I begin my new life.”
