Just stopping in to say hello! Been a while. Hope everyone is doing well. I injured myself a couple days ago.

I was playing in a men's league this weekend and took a bit of a wild running floater (Pangos style, but slightly less graceful), and was stopped mid-jump by a defender. You can't quite tell from the pic, but I ended up getting undercut a bit over his shoulder, and I landed arms-first.

I thought it was interesting/ironic that a buddy snapped a pic of the shot.

Anyways, my wife is trying to say I have to retire from basketball now. I had the torn ACL 2 years ago, and now a broken forearm. I don't want to quit playing basketball, but my wife is super pretty and way better looking than me, so I feel like I have to listen to her...

Looks like a clear blocking foul on the defender as he's not set. Did you get the And 1? Or did Tyler Haws pull down the board? Anyone else see the resemblance of the guy under the basket?

Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Oh, yeah, forgot to add that I WAS called for the charge! Added insult to injury.

Retire from hoops? Ask your wife if the Black Knight ever gave up. The answer is a no. His reply would be:

I'm actually with Woohoo, on this one. Attractive wife is a powerful trump card.

Clear charge. "Feet set" is a misnomer; standard is legal guarding position. Defender is there. Gotta stop and shoot the pull-up.

Woohoo, hope it was a clean break and you just needed a cast. Broke my wrist on an outdoor court 13 summers ago. Thought I had a clean pick at the top of the key going the other way for a layup, but the intended recipient of the pass got his hand there at the same time as mine. At 49 my body was a step slower than my brain told it that it was. So the ball went straight down, and I stepped on it going what passed for full speed.

I'm playing with the kids3-4 times a week at 62. Broken bone is minor. Tell her you'll pull up for the jumper next time; compromise. You're too young to let her take your ball(s) away, no matter how pretty she is.

I'm hoping that Francis immediately came over & bit that guy in the ass ( & then licked up any blood or other bodily fluids on the floor).

He should have done the "Draymond Flail". Would have changed that guy's defensive philosophy forever.

Based on the defender's feet being in the air... gonna say he either a) jumped in front or b) flopped.

Of course I am saying that because he doesn't post on this board... so he MUST be in the wrong.

It doesn't make any sense to me when people say I outkicked my coverage.

I mean...I know my wife is pretty cute and all....

Man woohoo, looking at the picture immediately above, you probably should get a lot more work done while at the Drs. office.

Does she do better than you with stuff like time zones?

Consider bowing to superior logic, much less the fact that she is after all "She who must be obeyed."

Sorry for the injury, Nathan. Get well soon!

Nah. He's fine. Women love men that can keep them laughing so hard their cheeks blush, at that point, Jabba = Clooney. Not saying he's Jabba, just saying it doesn't matter, guy's obviously got a good sense of humor, obviously, he posted that pic, right?

I know I know. I've always had that issue where one eyebrow is slightly longer than the other. I've been ignoring it for years.

No lie, I can not wear my State Farm shirt in public anymore. No matter if it's a gas station, grocery store, etc, I get Jake from State Farm comments every single time. Kinda funny.

You guys would appreciate Ashley and I's Halloween costumes last year. It was great because we didn't spend a dime, and we were a huge hit in our neighborhood. We had a number of people taking pictures of us.

If you are running in pickup games with BYU, would you expect anything less than a broken arm?

Hope you recover in time for bowling season!
