An underappreciated Zag player, but a great representative of the program and the school. One more shoot off the Mark Few coaching tree.

One of my favorite Zags, glad to see that he's still in basketball in some form.

Cool. It was that whole bunch with Morrison that got me into being a Zag BB fan. I hope Sean and Ferris make a great fit!

Good for him. Smart fellow. Lived down the hall from him as a freshman.

Congratulations Sean. And by the way, if you see any extraordinary talent coming through your program, please give GU coaching staff an early shout.

Go Bulldogs!

Just a solid and smart hardhat and lunchpail player - should be a great coach.

Yes. Typical Zag. Just do what it takes to win. One of my all time favorites. He took a backseat for the good of the team.

Saxon comes home to roost. Recall he held the all time Greater Spokane League scoring record for a year until Morrison broke it. He played in Ammo's shadow but was a great Zag.

Saw him interviewed on KREM tonight & didn't even recognize him!

Bald (or shaved).

Updated article at http://www.nwprepsnow.com/stories/2016/may/04/sean-mallon-named-boys-basketball-coach-at-ferris/

Mallon went from being an Ed major to some other things, then back to education. His coach from Freshman through Junior years was the late Wayne Gilman. Gilman was revered as a coach and also as a great role model for young men.
