I’ve been away for a while [which I suspect pleases some of you.] So I’ve been catching up with you guys. Got a few observations.
As part of my observance of Lent, I decided I would adopt a player. I picked Melson. Don’t know why. Probably the hair. So everyday, ten Hail Marys and one Jack Daniels. So he’s got that going for him.
I know this is contrary to my general reputation, but I feel bad for the Hall and their fans. They deserved better than a six. Kinda their version of our Davidson game: higher seed, fly across the country and play at an ungodly hour. I know I’d be a real happy Pirate if my team started its game at 10 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day. My vision is usually blurred by 10 a.m. Frank said they got jobbed even though he’s still butthurt over the Xavier loss.
Saw, as Jazz pointed out, that ESPN has some dumb algorithm predicting there is a 71% chance of a Gonzaga victory over the Hall. Aren’t they full of ####.
Apparently, it’s a damn shame I missed the Selection Sunday show.
Watched three episodes of the HBO thing. My first take-away is that Bakamus will likely get a vacuum cleaner at graduation, will have no idea how to use it and that I make better tacos. My second take-away is that if I were at GU today I would never go to a basketball game. No way I’m sleeping in a tent when the U is gouging me for a dorm room. Even for the burritos [which probably aren’t as good as Surfmonkey’s]. Only exception would be if this ritual leads to some serious babe time. But then the current crop of co-eds would have to have significantly different taste in men/boys than their moms from the 70s. Or really bad taste. Which is kinda the same.
TexasZag guy says he’s never watched the Big Lebowski. Damn shame. Probably a nihilist. Maude Lebowski is a prototypical Gonzaga Gal. If he doesn’t have the time, I suggest he watch the youtube that captures every F bomb uttered in the film. It’ll take about 4 or 5 minutes. I always watch after a Zag loss. Very cathartic. Prefer not to watch tonight. Will probably head to the ATM.
I gotta admit this feels like the old days. [Right Birddog.] No pressure. Bit of the underdog. I kinda liked the old days. Proud of the guys no matter what.
Your Pal,
Bowser
