Thanks. Fun reads over there (I was mainly scoping the Pirate Hoops board). They seem pretty down to Earth.

Seton Hall fans are more worried about Sabonis than Wiltjer. I think they watched the SMU game and view that as a true measure of similar opponent. They are also concerned about the elevation but no one seems to have mentioned the travel and late tip off. It will be a 10:00 pm east coast tip off for them. This has to be a factor; cross country travel, playing at elevation and a very late start. GU will need every bit of help they can get to beat a very good Seton Hall team.

GO ZAGS!

They should be worried about Edwards, too. Should get some easy baskets with his height and offensive touch.

Alberts could get lost in the shuffle too.

Anyone playing GU should be concerned about Sabonis, but that doesn't mean they should overlook Wiltjer. Quite frankly, I would be thrilled if Seton Hall's game plan was so focused on Sabonis that they have no game plan for Wiltjer, Perkins, McClellan, Dranginis or anyone else who could get hot. Zags' guards were peaking in Vegas, really hope they carry that into Denver.

From a poster named "Bud Boomer:" [Wiltjer] Can't guard anyone. Run him through ball screens, and attack once he's forced into a switch. St. Mary's did exactly this, and Wiltjer made Emmett Naar (who's basically a slower version of Jaren Sina) look like Allen Iverson out there. Kid is a great offensive player, but a total liability on defense.

That's one of the only statements I've agreed with on that forum.

Emmett Naar is not a slower version of anyone. He's just ENaar, and that dude is quick.

but yeah, Wiltj can't defend fast guards on the dribble for extended plays. this is not news.

Seton Hall had a South Orange Police escort to the airport. Their board is excited about that.

Their board seems to respect us and doesn't seem anymore crazy than our board.

I just checked Twitter. No mention of the airport yet. They do have practice at the Pepsi Center at 6:40 pm tomorrow.

Seeing as how I do not post there, they are indeed less crazy (I realize by saying that I leave the door open for different levels of interpenetration.)

What I've gathered is that their board doesn't think it's necessary to double Sabonis. They do think that SH guard play is superior. They've watched the SMU game and are drawing conclusions from it. They are worried about foul trouble and have only two good free throw shooters.

No way the coach is looking at things the same way except for recognizing that they have great guards.

I think there are more posts on the Hall board about how disrespected they are and everyone is out to get them.

They just added another one talking about how screwed their womens team is being in UConns bracket.

I think the longest thread is about everyone out to get the Catholic schools.

I think jazzs tinfoil has rubbed off.

They need to start acting like they have been there..............on wait......nevermind.

As a SJU fan, I have a special hatred for Gonzaga. They are always good, always prepared and always twice as talented as you think they're going to be. Gonzaga is always our nightmare matchup and they did it to Seton Hall this time. The center Zabonis is excellent and will be difficult for anybody. Shu has advantage in depth off the bench. Please represent the Big East well here. SJU has had horrible success against these guys. Would love nothing more than seeing the Hall teach them a lesson. Fwiw, they will be the smartest and most prepared team you've seen this season and their fans are atrocious...

Some sour grapes. We still ##### about having to play Steph Curry in his backyard - and that complaint grows after he gets better and better.

It was not our prettiest game. But they really, really looked like they had no idea on what was going on.

Not a whole lot of love on the Utes' board.

UteFans (http://www.utefans.net/list.php)

From BaldHatu:

If the Utes have an average day TO wise (12 or less) then this game is not even close. I thought the Zags were terrible last night and only won because Seton Hall was on a different level of terrible.

Candidly.... This Gonzaga team would not be tournament eligible if in the P12. I'm talking UCLA like or worse.

The outcome of tomorrow night will be a question of Utah beating themselves and playing lazy versus the capabilities of the Spokane Zoobs. Just my opinion.

Always love to check out the opponents' boards after the GU wins, it's a different tone. Hopefully we'll change the tone on that one also.

I am not a doctor but just how is the altitude a factor in this game. Last I checked we play the game in an indoor arena with air conditioning. Different from football.

I remember my 10th reunion at GU...I was living in El Paso at the time, and one alum said "you must spend a lot of time in Dallas"...

El Paso to Houston: 750 miles
El Paso to Los Angeles: 802 miles
El Paso to Dallas: 635 miles
El Paso to Las Vegas: 728 miles

Hard to believe, that El Paso is closer to Las Vegas than Houston.

Not just Idaho. More than once back east; "Where you from?" "Montana." "What state is that in?"

Of course, about 40 per cent of Americans label Canada Mexico and Mexico Canada. Let's hope there isn't a single Zag student and fan that can't find Poland and Lithuania on a map!
