Holy moly, Evan Fitzner (SMC true frosh) is the next Kyle Wiltjer!

He's been outstanding this season for them.

Their X-factor/key player/engine, imho.

Their 50% 3pt shooting helps, but Fitzner at Center has been tremendous.

a 3/4 * player offered by Pac-10 schools and some others.

He can shoot, pass, post up, drive, etc.

Fun to watch.

Still can't believe Emmett Naar is shooting 70%, yet seventy percent from 3pt with 70 attempts this season. unreal!

Joe Rahon is an excellent PG, elite passer, elite ball handler, above average shooter.

SMC is WAY better than last season. They replaced 4 of 5 starters and still much much better.

I think BYU will be better than last season by year's end as well.

Gonna have our hand's full with both of them.

SMC's SF, Hermansonn was a Zag recuit for awhile as well. A great 3pt shooter and tough.

Gaels are outstanding, imho.

Will need Sabonis and Wiltjer to have terrific games, because we won't be "out shooting" them anytime soon.

Baldwin, SMC is a really good WCC ball club. Zags won't beat them in Moraga without a great effort.

I have been impressed with SMC this season (although some of the opponents I watched them against were a little suspect). It is going to be an interesting season in the SMC-GU rivalry because I believe one of our strengths is our 3-point defense and out athletic guards. Should be fun to watch.
