In overtime now, Utah up by 5.

Virginia pulled away late to beat Villanova comfortably.

There was some preseason talk on here the Jakob Poltl is over rated. Let's stop that nonsense right now.

Um...I might be one of the guilty parties. Yep, he's been a stud this year.

Utah hitting FTs, gonna hold on...probably. 4 point play coming up? Phantom call, refs trying real hard to keep Duke in it. Several questionable fouls down the stretch.

Interesting no-call, then Ingram muffs the uncontested layup. Utah holds on.

Utes hold on for the win. They tried to lose it more than once. Big win for Larry K.

Notre Dame was up by as much as 14 in the 2nd half, but Indiana came storming back and won.

UNC was up by 17 against UCLA, closest the Bruins got was 12, 13 point final margin.

Georgetown lost to UNC Asheville today.

Oklahoma beat Creighton.

Wichita St. was unbeaten since Van Vleet returned from injury, but they lost today to Seton Hall.

Ohio St. is up 12 over Kentucky in the first half. UK is a very pale shadow of what they were last year. tOSU has been really under the radar this year, would be a good win for them.

Hilarious. Serious threat of a cheap shot from BYU now that the game is turning into a blowout.

Ohio St. held on.

Butler and Purdue approaching halftime. Good day for interstate games in Indiana. I think this was a double header with Notre Dame-Indiana, in Indianapolis.

edited--31-27 Butler at the half.

Bronson Kaufusi is STILL playing for BYU. He was the thug that did the hatchet job on Kelly O. way back when.

I'd say the refs tried to win it for Duke more than once actually. Great job by Utah keeping their composure and knocking down free throws; they deserved this win and earned it despite the refs best efforts to keep Duke in the game. That was a phantom call on the 3-pt Duke shooter, not to mention the foul called on the rebound by Utah earlier in OT.

Happy to see the Dukies go down. I've watched a LOT of college hoops but not sure I've ever seen so many calls handed to a team like Duke was gifted today.

Seems fairly typical to me. I've seen it far too many times.

That BYU-Utah bowl game is really strange. Utah's offense has done absolutely nothing today. All 35 points were off turnovers, some of them pick 6 thrown by BYU's QB. BYU has fought all the way back to 35-28, but Utah has the ball and has actually gotten a couple first downs, should be able to grind the clock down now, 1:20 left.

[QUOTE=seacatfan;1155927]Ohio St. held on.

Watching OSU/UK; with 2 1/2 minutes to go (@ 2:30 P.M.) the KREM feed up here switched to an Infomercial for pressure cookers. The game never came back.

(BTW, I ordered some for all of you. Hopefully there by Christmas):p

UNI up 3 over #5 Iowa State with under a minute left. Could they beat two top 5 teams in the same year?? What's crazy is that my Dad saw this same UNI team get blasted at New Mexico a few days ago.

Can't tell if you're joking or not. The alums refer to themselves as THE Ohio State University, so the properly snarky abbreviation is tOSU. I've seen that on message boards hundreds of times.

I don't give them that. Every other school could be just as pretentious, so I refer to them as Just Another...OSU

And I hadn't seen the snarky way to do it. I came up with my own. You are welcome to jaOSU if you want.

Gotcha. My brother is in Dayton, OH, so unfortunately he has to deal with the pretentiousness and arrogance of the fans from that university in Columbus way more than he wants to. He refers to them as Bucknuts.
