Wiltjer, though all the big guys played well

I went Wiltjer. Great line, 24 points and 11 reb. One stat about Wiltjer that I appreciated...10-12 from the FT line on a day when the zags shoot a pretty poor 68% (30-44).

Yes they did.

KW had a double double at the half, didn't miss many free throws, and shot well enough to be an easy choice for me. He missed a couple 3 pointers that are probably routine for him normally, but I don't fault him for not hesitating on that shot. He stayed out of foul trouble in a game that was very tightly called.

Had to go with Wiltjer, but I almost went with the entire front court - very impressive big-to-big plays throughout (they were passing better than the guards). Great to win by 16 (and get 80 points) without a good game from the guards. They have nowhere to go but up from here!

Went with Sabonis but Wiltjer was equally deserving.

I had a hard time voting for any of our bigs on a day when we gave up so many offensive rebounds. Still, Wiltjer's efficiency was impressive. He gets the vote.

im a little surpised KW is winning, honestly didnt think he had a great game, though i guess the box score doesnt lie. people in the game thread were hating on KD, not sure why, thought he had an nice game. that said went for DS narrowly over karnowski

Yep, just updated to add that.

Thanks . Looking at the guards box stats is a dang nightmare. Melson 0 of 5, Perkins 1 assist. Yikes.

Wiltjer with Sabonis a close second. Wiltjer just had too much height and too much savvy. He has so many moves in the post. I thought Dranginis played a very solid game, and handled the pressure D well.

agreed. Karno was a force in the paint too but KW gets the nod from me

had to go with Sabonis, i have a man crush on him, hardnosed every play and he never seams to force an issue.

Wiltjer ...... But, I only got to see ~40% of the game off and on. Going home to watch my tape of it. I sure hope a GU guard gets GUnit whilst in the Bahamas.

I was really impressed tonight with the bigs holding their ground and not fowling on the many drives by uw

I actually don't think the bigs played as well as they can. On the other hand the guards played as poorly as possible

Karnowski -he did a little bit of everything -scoring, rebounding, defending, passing . . . Plus he looked like he was exerting some leadership on the Court.

I went with Wiltjer. He sure is smart on offense, made the defense look silly on more than a few baskets. I dont think Ive seen another player better at reading what his defender is trying to do and counterting. He knows when to go up strong or pump fake or whatever, just makes it look easy.

Sabonis for his great game. Wiltjer had a great first half but I'll take Sabonis

I was thinking I might go with McClellan until about 17 mins in the 1st half. I ultimately went with Wiltjer. Eric started off in control and was looking good for awhile.

Fortunately we still won decisively, despite the subpar performance that left Zag fans tenaciously clinging on to our anxiety.
If there is anything I'd like to see during this tournament it's improvement, but first it was the slippery floor in Okanawa and today it was the slippery Huskies playing disruptive helter-skelter ball.

Wiltjer played pretty well, but didn't make many threes which we need from him. Sabonis gets my vote for consistent toughness. I agree with those who would like to see Alberts get a few more minutes. Shooters give us more options.

The 3 bigs. Can't differentiate enough to pick one out. However, when Wiltjer finally starts hitting some 3's he is it all the way!
