It's worth noting that Roy Williams scheduled the Northern Iowa game to give point guard Marcus Paige a home game (he's from Iowa). Problem is, Paige got injured and wasn't able to play in today's game.

UNI is picked to finish 3rd in the Missouri Valley this season.

Maryland was barely able to beat Rider at home yesterday. There just isn't going to be any dominant teams this year.

Washington is finishing up a spanking of Penn right now.

I haven't seen them play outside of a few minutes against Texas, but UW's results have looked impressive. Zags will need to be ready in the Bahamas.

UW's freshman class is very impressive. Long, athletic and disruptive. Chriss has NBA written all over him. The Zags are going to have their hands full on Wednesday. They have to keep the turnovers down and dominate the glass. Can't get into a street ball affair. Perkins is going to have to play very well. Must dictate tempo and execute on offense. If these things don't happen, GU could get beat by double digits. The UW kids have heard too much about how GU has dominated their program in recent times. I expect them to come out like gangbusters.

Jeff Goodman's been raving about Marquese Chriss. I'm suddenly nervous about the Bahamas ...

This Washington team is gonna be a ton of fun to watch. Murray, Chriss and Dickerson are three really good freshmen. Add Fultz next year.

Marquese Chriss. Every NBA guy will know the Washington freshman's name soon. 6-9, athletic and skilled.

Yep.UW frosh are much better than I've seen in ages. Not a big team but like the UW of old.....with better shooters. VERY fast and very athletic.
I've watched each of their games. I do hope we're ready. This could be the disaster nobody anticipated. 3-0 now and i'm thinking they'll be in the top 25 come Monday. It'll be close on Wednesday. 2 6 ft 9 in jumpin jacks who score , block shots and rebound...Romars got a "Romar" type team he's not had in ages.

SDSU Fakers go down scoring a scintillating 43 points. What fun?

USD loses to Fullerton, 67 - 55.

Nevada handling Pacific, up 32-24, at the half.

The UW team may very well not need quite as much "seasoning" as the pre-season talk suggested. This team looks dangerous to me. Bring your A game Wednesday Zags! (Fortunately, I will be there to cheer them on!)

I think I was wrong about UW, but I will say they haven't been tested much so far. Texas was AWFUL in that game from what I saw watching off and on, and were still in it late in the game.

A lot will depend on how the UW game is officiated. Called tightly as refs have been doing this year, odds are good the Zags win comfortably. Rough and ugly, UW stands a much better chance. The Conroy influence is evident.

San Francisco wins by a point, 58 - 57, over UC Riverside

UNR drops Pacific ( At Spanos ) 85 -82, 2OT.

If Gonzaga's guards handle UW's pressure like they handled tonight's pressure, they will get beat. Lame turnovers and cheap transition baskets will neutralize GU's interior power.
