Western Illinois beats #17 Wisconsin in Madison. Not an easy feat. Badgers rarely lose at home. Belmont beat Marquette at home as well.

William & Mary won by 17 over NC State in Raleigh (how does NC State keep getting all these big name recruits?)

Chattanooga beats Georgia at home.

WCC and Pac 12 both stubbed their toes a couple times on opening day it looks like.

I know a lot of people on this board are high on Pepperdine, but they gotta prove it to me. Didn't get off to a good start.

The tradition of upstart WCC schools losing to teams they shouldn't be losing to continues.........

If the league wants to get better, Pepperdine needs to beat Fresno State. If they can beat BYU two times last year, and almost beat an elite Gonzaga team last year, they should be able to beat FSU. Pepperdine is even better on paper than they were last season.

Santa Clara losing to Lipscomb? Games like that and the Pepperdine loss make it hard to take the WCC seriously, outside Gonzaga and maybe 1 or 2 other teams, on a yearly basis. Different year, same result.

Let's see, two Koach acolytes lose, ASU and Quette. And Lordy, UCLA loses to little Mammoth? Has prima Donna Leaf decommitted again?

I thought you were a big Hurley fan, Jazz. Granted it's only 1 game, but not the debut for the new coach ASU was looking for. Outside of Brey at ND, K's proteges really haven't done much. I don't understand why so many programs keep hiring them, especially the ones with little or no previous HC experience.
