The Gonzaga-Pitt game, listed at 4 PST, now expected to tip off at 4:40.

Weird that he'd send out the new time without an explanation.

I wonder if 4:00 pm was always just the TV show start time, and they'd do their specials on things and tip off would be 20-30 minutes later under any schedule.

Dunno.

Games are usually slotted for two hours. Looks like ESPN has allotted three hours here; looks like there are built-in pregame formalities.

Per ESPN TV listings on their website GU/Pitt is slotted for a three hour window (4-7PST) followed by UW/Texas from China @ 7PST.

Ah, I shoulda' thought of that. Thank you.

Must have been torn, if he went on the trip, it is a long time away for a man with a family to be gone, but what an opportunity to see the things, but also to write some really cool character type columns.

I wonder if the paper simply didn't offer to send him. I'm hoping it wasn't as simple as saving a few thousand over sending Meehan and getting some very unique columns about their local top 10 basketball team leading the season off in a military base on sacred ground. Seems like that's worthy of significant coverage.
